The themes are only there as a guide really. People wear what they want, even if it doesn't fit exactly with it.

Indeed, no theme is stopping me wearing my wraith costume!

Well I now have my full wraith costume but the mask is incredibly hot so I suspect i will be wearing it for one hour at most before going back to my room to get changed. Any longer and I may pass out!

This is the first time that i'll be dressing up for a convention and just wanted to ask a question about the rules.  Are you aloud to bring guns as part of your costume, i.e. as an sgc member?  I saw some one last year dancing around with a P90 and just wanted to know if it is alright to bring a gun as part of my costume.

That would have been my friend. He asked both the hotel staff and the ME crew if it was ok. Your best bet is to bring it keep it hidden away and ask when you get there. But make sure you ask both. Hope that helps.
PS had them in MK Shopping center that was fun :D

I would say just don't go OUTSIDE the convention area with them! at another con, 2 people in SG uniforms and P90s went to McDonalds, let's just say it did not go down well!!!!!!!   :D

in the convention area I'm sure you'll be fine and probably in the hotel but you might want to put a (carrier) bag in the vest (I assume you have one as part of your costume :D) if you go to the restuarant or somewhere, incase you need to put the gun away :P
