Sorry Jason, but for a few of us it is already too little, too late.
Posts like that with no real info do little to encourage people to attend as people need to know as soon as possible to get time of work, sort out the money for the event, sort out costumes etc.

Too late for me know, have made alternative (non convention) plans for that weekend now.

I can't see how this event will sell now, it's been left far too late for a lot of people to plan for it.

It does feel like this event is being ignored. Eternal Twilight 2, Hallowhedon, Chevron 7.3 and The Hub 3 are all months after this convention and they all have guests (all except ET2 have two). Obviously I have no idea what is going on behind the scenes but I can't see how this wait for a guest announcement is going to do anything but damage the event.

i totally agree, i mean behind the scenes they may be working their ass off but by the look of it its not really showing any results. i mean if there having this much trouble getting one guest then whats it gonna be like getting the others? and its not just the fact of getting any guest, with this economic climate, people are gonna be careful with their money and as much as its not about the guests, it still is, nobody in there right mind is gonna pay £80 JUST to hang out at a hotel with friends and socialise with fellow lost fans.
hope we find out something soon, as its my birthday that weekend and i dont wanna leave it too late to go to this con or have other plans.

Wow, my first post in ages.....
I agree with whats been said. It's now quite late to book for most people.
Now i dont know whats going on behind the scenes, and i understand that SM/ME are working non-stop... ut when organizing as many cons as they do at one time, its gotta be quite hard. what i think would be best would be for SM/ME to say that they're having troubles, and tell us what they are trying to do. That way there arent us lot sitting here trying to guess what the heck is going on.

I understand that you have been waiting a long time for this and I am sorry to those of you who have now made other plans, but I think many of us remember Lockdown and I wanted to ensure that the first guest was someone who would ensure they event was a success and unfortunately I work to their time schedule.

That has now been worked out and so I am very pleased with who we will be announcing tonight. I think you will be too!  

I also think that 4 months before the event is still plenty of time for most people to be able to still book in to come. The rest of the guest list will now fill out much quicker too!
