Hi Everyone,

Was at the convention on Dec 6th and had a really great time, met some really cool people, was thinking of getting a costume for next time, but no sure who to be or where to look, open to suggestion lol :cylon:

I assume from your username that you're of the female persuasion?

Impossible to make suggestions without knowing that, and still hard without a descripition or pic :)

( There really was no way to say that without it sounding like "HI!!!!!! A/S/L?", was there? LOL )

Good place to look is ebay. There are quite a few costume places on there. Or you could pick a tv prog or film you enjoy and do a costume on that character. If you are into anime then it easy to find a character to cosplay.

If you are stuck I can help as Ive made quite a few costumes for people over the last few years.

Don't tell me what to do! :YAHOO:

Seriously, though - Aside from "One-size-fits-most" costumes ( Colonial Marine, Stormtrooper*, Stargate SG-1 member etc )... For specific characters it's usually a good idea to pick a character similar enough to your own build to make the costume easier.

Obviously, male cosplayers find playing male characters easier - And vice versa.

There is, of course, the phenomenon of "Crossplaying" - Which is the main reason that any straight male at a con should begin his covert perusal of the hot cosplay chickies at the face.
Otherwise one runs the risk of "Ooh! Nice legs! Mm! Nice butt! Woo! Nice bewbs! ... ARGH! BEARD!"

a slave Leia is always good as long as you can get the metal parts right ( don't have to be metal ) i think there's a builders club on the net for the metal bikini , or classic ANH long white dress and french pastry hair , or as you're forum suggests one of the female charagters from Resident Evil
