I have to say that this has been my favourite event I've attended from you so far. I had a lot of fun and I really enjoyed myself. Every single one of the guests was playful, open and welcoming, and I don't think this bunch could've been any better with an "A-Lister" in its midst. I feel sorry for the ones who missed out

Anyway, you put on a great event and the organisation was WONDERFUL. It was so good to know what I was doing from one minute to the next and being able to plan little trips to Marks & Spencers for grapes around it!  Heehee. I really, really loved it. I liked there being less people (I know, it sucks for your finances though) because it made it relaxed but not "relaxed" enough to be totally dead.

I couldn't pick a favourite, they were all fabulous (as were Dania's SHOES!)

I love that you overcame the staging problems and although I had Paul in front of me in James' talk (and he has a big head, haha) I didn't have any problem with getting the photos I want.

Well done :)  I hope you get good enough feedback to overcome the negativity beforehand, you deserve it. Can't wait until I get my money in January, I'll be booking for Eclipse 3 that very day!

A little disappointed that we can't book for the hotel in advance without paying purely because I have no money, haha. But that's kind of my fault.

I have to agree to this, entirely. This weekend was AMAZING. It was so relaxed and everyone (crew, attendees and guests alike) were just extremely laid back and super friendly and approachable. I saw a lot of people from Eclipse 1, so it was like a little family reunion, haha

The organisation was great, as everything went really smoothly in my opinion and I really liked that the guests could walk around the hotel very freely without being crowded or anything, which made them really talkative when you bumped into them somewhere!

I enjoyed the talks a LOT, as especially Stephen and Alan had all these really hilarious stories to tell and I felt like you could bond more with these guests.  :D The others, were really awesome of as well and Adair singing so spontaneously was just brilliant! So yeah, kudos to all your hard work it was AWESOME and I'm really sad that it's over.

ECLIPSE 3 HERE I COME!

Arrived on Friday night had no queue at the registration desk which was nice. Got our packs and correct this time (had problems at eclipse 1). Was really pleased with the gifts that came with the registration pack (chips, autographs etc.) and thought that the 'ID/Pass' card was much better this time as was the chain to hang it from.

It was very nice to see the guests around the hotel. Immediatly spotted Adair wondering around the lobby when we arrived, and saw all the rest of the guests a number of times around the hotel having breakfast or in the bar. It was really good to see that people showed the guests a lot of respect and left them alone to go about there business, I think that was probably due to the more seasoned attendees at E2 than E1.

Thought the organisation was much better this time around. I had a couple of problems which the crew sorted without any trouble. All the crew seemed to be very friendly and knew the schedule which helped things move along smoothly (and no shouting), I liked that Malcolm got a microphone this time as I'm sure he would appreciate today as he will still have his voice.

The parties where a big improvement at E2 than E1 a real effort had been made to engage the attendees and get people together, the casino night was a lot of fun.

I agree that this event felt so much nicer and less stressful than E1 this was in no small way due to the lower numbers of attendees, I think the 300 number much better suited the venue I think that 800 (think was the number for E1) was simply too many for that venue.

Didn't really attend many of the talks or any of the guest encounters but this gave a nice time to walk into Northampton and do some Christmas shopping. Also bumped into Adair in the Disney Store which was a little surreal made us wonder how many times you might have walked past someone famous and not realised as no one seemed to recognise her. Northampton is a bit rougher than I remember there was a large fight in the street with people having to drag people away by their ankles. Not sur eif anyone else saw this?

We also tried to book for eclipse 3 and found that you had to pay in advance and that it was non refundable so decided not to. I think the Park Inn will loose a fair bit of custom to start off with doing it this way, but I guess they had a lot of problems this time round with so few attending.

Finally I would like to say a big thank you to CosmicAvatar who will know what I mean.

I agree, brilliant event and it was excellently organised. I was VERY happy to find the autographs in my registration pack too, I felt that was a really nice extra. The guests were amazing though and everything went so smoothly...great job guys!

I can't find fault with the weekend at all, except for the obvious but honestly, the guests there were wonderful and a lot of fun. Especially Adair and Alan! :)

Thanks for all the hard work - this event rocked!

Back home safe and sound... and having withdrawl symptoms already. Just watchin George Takai on Im A celeb... wierd!

Great weekend - a lot more relaxed than Eclipse 1. Agree that less people made it better.

All the guests were excellent. Love Alan and Stephens stories. Managed to get to see Alan at the guest encounter (as well as Jason) and enjoyed those greatly!

Finally... being on stage was SCARY!!! Completely went blank and felt like a right pleb!     - had one heck of a stomach cramp afterwards. Never done anything like it but thought Id challange myself. Must have been fate (or unlucky 13) as I only got in because someone didnt show up. After that Stephen kept saying hi and chatting to me when he saw me which was great! :)

Have signed up for 3 - Mostly as the reduced the prices back to Eclipse 1 prices! So effectively a discount. Nice one!

Auction was a bit worse this year - as was the dealers room! But meant I spent less cash than expected I guess.

All in all great stuff.

WELL DONE SHOWMASTERS!

After how amazing E1 was, I felt that E2 was gonna fail in comparison.. but you pulled it offer, you promised bigger and better.. and while it may not have been bigger, it was far better! Much more organised, much more relaxed, and the guests were AWESOME! The encounters were awesome.. hell, even having breakfast with the guests was amazing! I also notched up 4 "Elevator Encounters"... The only one I missed with those was Alan! lol

And Dania was STUNNING!   :headscratch:    :D

Also, it was fantastic to see the guests out and about, enjoying the parties, chatting with people, playing poker etc and NOT being mobbed by people for photo's etc!

Anyway, again, well done showmasters.. I admit I was one of the ones a bit skeptical about this show due to line up etc.. but you managed to pull off one hell of a show!!
David Anders... yummy!

It was a really great weekend i thought to, despite being ill and not sleeping much i really enjoyed it

All the guests were great and all seemed very open and very chatty, not just in the talks but in the signings too.

my highlights were listening to Alan and Stephen talk, especially together on the Saturday night but i just loved watching one of them talk and everyone else listening in complete awe of them!

I had the pleasure of sitting in on Alan's guest encounter and could have spent a further hour in there, such a decent man and a joy to listen to, swears like a trooper to!

Over all it was a great weekend, not just the guests but the other attendees and the crew too

Thanks to everyone involved

For those of you who stuck around last night - thanks for making it a fun evening. I wasn't hopeful at the start when the bar manager told me that sometimes they close the bar at 10:30 and everyone is gone by 11!!

Anyhow hope everyone had a good weekend and hope to see you next time

I had a brilliant time too. The guests were amazing. Can't really pick a favourite as I loved them all. It was very well organized. The parties were brilliant. So much fun.

I can't wait for Eclipse 3!

Well, considering how much I slept last night, I think I made the right decision in leaving after the Closing Ceremony, or else I may have just sat in the corner of the hall asleep during the party. Hmm!

Anyway, I loved it. Far far more than I ever expected it to. I guess the buildup to this one wasn't anything like Eclipse 1, and I was slightly disappointed by the atmosphere on here etc which put a bit of a cloud over the event itself. However once it all kicked off, it was nothing but fantastic from start to finish for me.

Thank you to the guests first - I of course can understand how on paper it didn't look like a 'great' guest list for some attendees, but they gave everyone their all from the talks to the encounters to the parties. I don't think we could've asked for anything more.

It was great to see James in a more relaxed environment and it was far better meeting him this time round than it was in MK, and he said himself that he loved it a lot more. Adair just amazed me every time she talked, and the musical performances were an added bonus. I have to give Dania a lot of respect after hearing her views on the show and the character, and just her life experiences etc. And I feel like we were blessed to have Stephen and Alan there - two guys who were really there because of previous bad circumstances (Stephen cancelled one, and Alan was technically a replacement), but the convention environment was absolutely perfect for these guys.

Thanks to everyone that worked there, from Jason and Mark to all the crew. I know the buildup was perhaps a little more stressful this time, and I heard rumblings of some ridiculous happenings at the events, but I hope you saw at the event (and even now in this topic) that you delivered a weekend that so many people absolutely loved.

And finally to those who I spent time with, or even just said hi to every so often, new friends or old, thank you to you too. Without you guys, these events wouldn't be as memorable as they are, and sometimes it amazes me that after 5 years I'm still doing these things that I accidentally stumbled across one day. It's always so hard to get quality time with everyone because I know so many people now, and there's only so many hours in a day, but again the convention environment lends to being able to see people more regularly over the weekend. So I hope you all had an awesome time, and I really look forward to seeing you all in the future

Thanks a lot to everyone! And mostly to the guests who were fantastic!
Special thanks to Stephen and Alan who made me laugh like crazy at the talks! And they had so many anecdotes to tell us about their respective trips in France
The cocktail party couldn't compare with the E1's! It was just wonderful to be only like 35/40 Gold i guess? Able to walk around easily without bumping into someone. And even to sit if needed!
We all were able to chat with each and every guest and they stayed more than an hour i think? As they stayed less than a half-hour last Eclipse. Plus someone from the crew leading them to meet all the attendees was great too.
That's why we didn't feel the need to go to Guests encounters, felt we already did it on Friday night!
This Eclipse was very different from Eclipse1, but really enjoyable. true that the lack of attendees was a benefit for those who attempted
We absolutely LOVED the Casino party !( I love gambling!)
And we were not the only ones as it was difficult to find some room to be able to gamble sometimes.
The guests loved it too and James was so proud to tell me on sunday that he have won a lot of chips at the poker table ;)
But we noticed Jason always trying to steal Chips and dollars notes from others ;)
I agree with those saying that the Park Inn is better for small conventions than for bigger ones.
There was no stress at all and much more respect to the guests. But this time they stayed at the Park Inn , I don't think it was the case last year?
So we all quickly got used to meet a guest while beeing in the elevator, taking breakfast etc...That's why they were not mobbed as they were at Eclipse1 (well, it can be one of the reasons )
True that each time Alan saw us, he shouted 'BONNNjourrrr les français!'
And Stephen waved all the time to us too! Great week-end, great guests !
Great idea to have lessen the ticket prices for the next Eclipse too! :P Thanks!

I had an awesome time! The guests were all brilliant. I normally have a stand out guest that really made my weekend, but all 5 were so super I can't pick just one this time!

I loved both parties as well. I especially loved Davey's set on Friday night ... you played some awesome songs Mr. D!

Oh don't worry I will be starting the facebook petition as soon as I catch my breath (only been home 15 minutes!) but I'm under strict instructions from Alan (I had the pleasure of being his assistant on Saturday) that we will get as many names on it as possible so keep an eye out (and give me about half an hour to eat first!)

I would just like to say although I was crewing the event I had the most fantastic time meeting so many great attendees many of which I have spoken to at previous shows "Hi Mark" who's name I will always remember (where I learnt your name I have no idea!) and the crazy guy who was shirtless at the party friday night, I'm glad you managed to see Dania yesterday morning! The whole event worked so well this time round thanks to so many hours of organising by the famtastic team who brings us these shows and although we didn't have an 'a' list cast list I think it was better for it. Everyone was more relaxed which helped the guests feel more relaxed which could meant that some even choose to come back to more shows which can only be a positive thing for all heroes fans.

Congratulations Jason,Mark and the whole gang for an amazing con and  here's to E3!!
