For me this show has gone very much down hill, i can only make saturday, and either the guests i wanted to meet have cancelled or showing on sunday only, if only i could get a refund on a photoshoot i ordered and possible refund on 2 entry tickets as im now thinking of not attending and having to lose out on £35, as its a 3 hour drive £20 in petrol, is it really worth it i still cant decide on what to do.

it seems to me no-one even wants to go now even if they have paid for tickets, its such a shame for people in the midlands because they may lose there show down to some stupid decisions and bad cancellations,im not going now nor are the people i was going with,im afraid sometimes these things cant be helped, like i said before no big guests equalls no big turnout just hope they make enough money to cover peoples wages at the event

Well I'm still going and I intend to enjoy it. You will see me doing my best "I'm not going to 'squee', honest!" face on a couple of occasions.

I still can't thank SM enough for getting Alec Hopkins... :D

Well my family and I were mainly going to see Dwight Shultz, but now he's cancelled, we will still be going for the following reasons:
1) To meet Dirk Benedict and a few others
2) It looks like there are more stalls at this event than there are at Milton Keynes
3) At Milton Keynes it can take half an hour to walk down a single aisle of the stalls due to the mass of people, but as this isn't in a shopping centre, hopefully it will be more like the Autographica/Terry Nation event last spring at the NEC, where you could get to the stalls easily.
4) It's in Coventry, not far from where I grew up - a good excuse to return to my roots which I haven't done for some time
5) To see the new stadium, it looks a lot better than the Highfield Road one where I spent many Saturdays in my youth!

When was Ian St John announced?!
"You might very well think that, I could not possibly comment"

"Got a rabbit to pull out of your hat Percy? You've got that 'Britain-can-make-it' look about you. Very intimidating."

They are brought by an outside company and so I don't have access to the actual price list for this show.

This list is based on Sportsmania 1 and 2, and so are not confirmed prices.

The higher figure is for an autograph on a "premium" item. Premium items are anything used or worn during sport or a part of a stadium/venue (e.g. a Wembley seat back). If you are not sure if your item is a premium item please do ask one of the crew on the day and they will be able to help clarify.

Banks, Gordon = £15-£20
Bonds, Billy = £10-£20
Bruno, Frank = £15-£20
Charlton, Jack = £15-£20
Cohen, George = £15-£20
Cooper, Henry = £15-£20
Greaves, Jimmy = £15-£20
Hunt, Roger = £15-£20
Hurst, Geoff = £15-£20
Peters, Martin = £15-£20
Stiles, Nobby = £15-£20
Wilson, Ray = £15-£20
Ardilles, Ossie = £10-£20
Villa, Ricky = £10-£20
St Johns, Ian = ???

Not been to a sportsmania event before - do we have to provide our own items or are the usual photos available ... hubby would love a Jimmy Greaves auto

It's set-up the same way as Collectormania. There are free photos provide if you want one, and there will likely be other dealers selling bigger/other pictures for you to choose from too.

On the list given here Jack Klaff is listed as being there for both days, but I've received an e-mail saying he'll only be there on Saturday. Which is correct?

I'm hoiping that Chris Muncke decides to turn up tomorrow too...

Otherwise, I'll have to beg some kind soul or pay MSPG to pick him up for me on Sunday.

Bugger! I'd settled on Sunday as my day to attend so that I could at least meet the Star Wars guests I haven't met before and now I find that he won't be there. How frustrating!

Possibly a question better asked of the information desk at the show?

Caroline Munro and Martine Beswick were down as £10 too but were charging £15. I actually mentioned it to Caroline Munro (who is one of the nicest guests ever!) and she was very apologetic.

Couldn't believe that I paid £15 to get the much-derided Dave Holland to sign my vintage trilogy poster but was actually glad that I did - he was a total star!

Of course - I was just pointing out that this is something that is so much better sorted out at the show. Asking now is of course allowed, but distinctly second best to grasping the nettle at the time...
