My only question si and it's rather a final one for me before we all get to the event.....but i wanted to ask and this goes especially for the 1930s 1940s party but what kind of music will be playing and how will it be playing....is it just some cds put on from that era or is it a dj or something....can we pick songs from the eras or have fave songs played.....it's just i'm kinda hoping by being pre war themed we gonna be getting music of that era as well cos it wouldnt be the same dancing away to todays music at a wartime do if you get my drift....i'm just curious cos alot of my fave songs come from the 1940s onwards....the Sinatra, Darin, Martin, Astaire and Davis Jr era etc.

I'd be expecting a fair bit of stuff from the likes of Glenn Miller, Tommy Dorsey, etc., and maybe some showtunes of the day. It'll be interesting to see if they mix in anything from the fifties, or even some (more) contemporary stuff. Iggy Pop, Blondie and Nirvana would be very interesting rendered in Big Band style. :D

*ducks for cover*
One of these centuries, I really must get around to joining the Procrastinators Club.

I'd be thrilled for some Glenn Miller (especially In The Mood and Moonlight Serenade, both used in Doctor Who) and Andrews Sisters. Maybe some Frank Sinatra too.

Oh i would very much love something to mosh to!! as well as the very much needed "were all drunk so lets just dance to party songs like we're just 5ft bottles of vodka" genre (as i recall at MK ghostbusters was very much loved, also YMCA, the macarenna and the chacha slide. hha!)

I thinkies we should have the Torchwood (short) theme played at the beginning to mark the beginning of the parties, and then the long version to mark the end of the parties!

yes! reeally!!!

see, i have nothing against younger fans (except maybe the ones that cling, go a bit mentalist and put z's om OMG for no aparent reason "ZOMG!" par example or "LOLZ" - u know the kind that seem to think that they invented chatrooms and msn - u know the kind - te kind that call me a wrinkly for doing the macarenna cos oooh 24 is OLD! lol) but they should know how to do the bloomin macarenna!!

I do also hope theres not gonna be drunken 15yr olds asking if they can bum a tab or something at these partys. please god no.

may i suggest, music wise, that when everyoe looks a little worse for wear and sloshed out of their pretty costumed minds, that you play the cha-cha slide, because THAT, my friend, is one funny-ass song to get ple to try and dance to when theyre drunk. They fall over, bump into eachother  oh its just hillaerious!!
