At Eclipse 1 the guests wer awesome even if i was so upset about Hayden canceling =[ I cant wait for Eclipse 2 still tho lol. The guests atm are so awesome and i dont wanna seem ungreatful lol. Moderators DavidB Posted October 6, 2008 Moderators Share Posted October 6, 2008 You might be sad now before the event, as may others if they are a little fussy about who's in the guest list, but in the end I think all Heroes fans are going to have an enjoyable time at a Heroes convention. I'm hoping not too many people get so hung up on the 'main cast' thing that they find the event disappointing. Ideally we'd all love a couple, but as long as the guests do interesting talks and are enjoyable to meet, I think it'll be money well spent. How do you class Kristen Bell (6 episodes) as a major character, but not consider any of the guests announced to be major characters? Of course Kristen is a bigger draw in herself, irrespective of how large a role she played in Heroes but if you're after main Heroes characters as opposed to the most famous names in the cast, I don't think Elle qualifies as a "major character". I find that one sentence a bit bizarre like the OP is allowed to give an opinion and I'm not Just like anyone else is entitled to post an opinion, everyone is entitled to reply. I like discussion, and I find the 'main' character perception in this topic quite interesting. I just want everyone to have a good time and enjoy what we're given in the end, rather than go along and spend all weekend thinking 'oh I wish Hayden was here' or something. It's actually me trying to be positive about the event and not criticising the OP. I certainly wasn't being nasty or personal, so no one else should be. I'll agree with the above - Kristen would be a major deal for me to meet, but certainly not just for Heroes. There are far more important people in a Heroes context, and I would indeed consider James as more 'major' than Kristen as a Heroes guest. And while James may have attended a Collectormania before, the chance to have him involved in talks is something I'm really looking forward to. I'm sure Zachary Quinto wasn't even officially main cast in Season One. Some of the S2 people (like Kristen) were series regulars and then bumped down to Special Guest Stars. I would hardly say Ashley was BIG part of the heroes universe (no offense intended I love her) nor Ando all he did last season was restore Hiros papers from old Japan. KB is a big name and is very popular and she is in HEROES so she CAN go to a HEROES convention granted I rather her at a different con for VM. I'd agree with you if it was Collectormania or something. like selby pointed out he never suggested she was a major charicter, i think some people might automatically put her as main is because shes a big name star and also has a power. i dont get why everyone is jumping down each others throught, people are always going to want better guests, i just dont get why atm eclipse 3 is even announced when eclipse 2 hasnt even happened yet, so its pretty much counting the chickens before theve hatched kinda thing, but then we all know the real reason why. people assume this would be a better event than before and tbh it probably will be, you cant just talk to people who have brought on faith to just wait it out, its good money people at the end of the day. i think e2 will most probably be awesome, i think the guests we have so far are cool, ando is one of my faves so im really pleased, im looking forward to seeing ashley although im not a massive fan of her charicter, and that bob guy should be good but tbh none are main cast althogh im not desperate for one, it would be nice considering every event aproximatly has 6 guests 1-2 being main cast, ando i would probably think might be main cast but only recently. this of course is just my opinion and im sure david b will find something wrong with what ive said no offence intended ofc. I really don't get why some people believe a difference of opinion constitutes an argument. That's why some people get annoyed if I offer a counterpoint - they think I'm being rude or picky or whatever when I'm not. It's simply entering into a discussion on a certain subject, and a lot of people are capable of talking about things without it descending into petty squabbles and personal insults. I'm sorry if I assume the majority are capable of mature discussion. As long as things stay calm and sensible, I see absolutely no problem with people presenting their opinions, as long as they're willing to accept that someone out there is likely going to disagree. Peter Petrelli [ 28 ] [9.46%] Greg Grunberg ... Matt Parkman [ 17 ] [5.74%] Ali Larter ... Niki Sanders [ 42 ] [14.19%] Adrian Pasdar ... Nathan Petrelli [ 4 ] [1.35%] Zachary Quinto ... Sylar [ 55 ] [18.58%] David Anders ... Adam Monroe [ 15 ] [5.07%] And to me, they are the A-Listers (arguably KB for the fact that she has been in other shows too, kinda like David Anders)... and to date, going by Showmasters classifications, we have not had a A-Lister.. I'm goin to E2 anyway, so at this stage I dont care who is or isnt annouced, but I would LOVE for someone (anyone!) from the above list to be announced! I bought a Silver ticket on the back of E1 being amazing.. and I guess the only thing I would of done differently at this stage is probably have settled for a regular pass instead.. Still, 5/6 weeks left, and I have faith in showmasters to pull of a fab event - i never went to Lockdown, but the feedback I heard from others is that it was great even without any A-List cast members from Lost! I have yet to go to a con without atleast 1 main cast. Sure usually the lesser known people are the best but not always also I want to meet main guests as well as lesser characters. If you look at previous threads David does seem to like picking at Niks posts. Nik didn't mean offense from what she said she was stating a point and it was true. I do have faith that they will they have 6ish weeks to do it and with there contacts I think they will but I don't think I will be the only annoyed person if they don't.
