I'm in Scotland but far away from Edinburgh & Glasgow.

But anyone in either place EDINBURGH Forbidden Planet (The Bridges) , Record Shops (Ripping Records opposite side of the road close by sells lot of concert tickets so good place) , etc. GLASGOW A1 Comics, Forbidden Planet (Buchannan St.), Record Stores, Book shops, etc. Zavi (formerly Virgin), HMV great places too.

Remember hearing that other group that used to come to Glasgow, didn't even bother with Forbidden Planet!

If nobody can make it into those stores, sure there will be some that can, Showmasters should just send out leaflets / posters to Forbidden Planet at least.

Not forgetting!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Posters, loads of leaflets at Braehead Shopping Centre!

Loads of places there, and even Information desks. And cinema there Odeon was still not open yet , but year later assume it has opened loads of leaflets there.

Give you a laugh. the wee place I live in. I have put flyers in the two busiest places, they are going like hot cakes. the video shop and the off licence. lol. I though that was funny. although I am easily amused.

The flyers i have stuck to the back windows of my van have prompted people to ask about the event and tell me My van needs a clean. Lol

I have helpers in Dundee. and Perth. i am going to bribe my nice's and nephew in Aberdeen with sweets to help. next time i visit.

Get in touch with A1 comics - I'm sure they'd be cool with giving out fliers in their shop. The guys in Forbidden Planet are cool but I don't know if they'd be 'allowed' to have the fliers in their shop(?)

I'm in Glasgow, and have no problem getting to town or braehead so if you need anything done give me a shout.

Going to leaflet Inverness this week. The kids are on holiday and they will help me. We had our first event this year and i'm sure there are a lot of people who would be interested in an event in Glasgow.

Nothing like stating the blatantly obvious but at least few big name guests should have been announced months ago!

Fliers / posters advertising who - David Prowse, Warwick Davis, etc only the die hards and real fans of Star Wars, etc know who the heck they are! I've friends in Germany that were planning on coming and have now cancelled as guest list is so poor , they couldn't wait longer to book time off work / flights, etc.

Sure more guests will come but really poor organisation not to get at least a few big names confirmed months back.

The event isn't necessarily aimed at overseas though. The first event clearly worked very well at attracting a local/northern market with the guests they had, so people wishing to come from overseas are probably better off going to LFACC to be honest.

The local events in Reading (That stopped before CMs) I went to used to be really busy with like no guests, just dealers... well, occasionally Alan Harris or Shame Rimmer would go, but no one massive. SM will build it up as they need to.
