ann+sara+emma+dani
Basically, I'm wondering where people tend to stay when going to this event? Which hotels etc?
arianne
Well basically there is NOTHING at Braehead. Literally nothing. You would be best to stay in one of the City Centre hotels and get the bus out - great bus link. The other alternative is to stay at one of the Airport hotels, airport is only a couple of miles away but I'm not sure what the buses to Braehead from the airport are like
steevofromglasgow
Hi Braehead arena stands south of the river and the main road from Glasgow in that general direction is Paisley Road West. If you can get accomodation along that route then you should have no problems driving/getting a bus/cab to the event. I would recommend the ETAP hotel that recently opened near Pacific Quay. It's only £32 a room a night but I've not checked availability: http://www.etaphotel.com/etaphotel/ficheho...che_hotel.shtml You might also want to check travellodge as there's one near Braehead from £50 a night and another near Pacific Quay (by Etap) from £60 a night There's also the Swallow hotel: http://www.swallow-hotels.com/hotels/swallow-glasgow.aspx on Paisley Road West. It's currently fully booked for those dates, but I've added it to the list in case Showmasters want to add it to the FAQ for further dates. If I can think of any more, then I'll post them. If coming by car, then you obviously have more choice. I've picked the above based on people on foot near the centre of Glasgow I've also tried to pick locations that aren't as highly priced as some in the centre of Glasgow Steve Edited June 13, 2008 by steevofromglasgow

vampiric_kitten
I forgot there was a hotel there now!!! Sorry I can't help I only live 15 mins away so i'll be staying at home lol. There's a really good bus link to the city center like people said. It would be good to know where the party night is so people could maybe plan around that too if they're going. killerinc1234
I am staying at the Purple Hotel too never been to Glasgow before so I am hoping I can find my way round ok the purple hotel is within easy walking distance (5mins tops) to the shopping centre (where the con venue is inside)and behind the shopping centre is the excape. to get into glasgow town centre you can get a number of buses from the shopping centre or a taxi but if your unsure just ask people the hotel staff will be able to tell you how to get to places and such
