Showmasters Admin showmasters Posted June 11, 2008 Showmasters Admin Share Posted June 11, 2008 Hi everyone, We have had to just make a few changes to the schedule that we posted earlier as it appears we can't exhaust our guests quite as much as we had planned! Seemingly they have jobs to go back to or something and we have to make sure they survive the weekend!!!!!!!!! Anyway, the new schedule for the weekend is below. It has not changed much so hopefully no-one will have been put out! We are still working on a few possible additions to the programming. They wont effect what is posted below, so dont worry about that, and if we do manage to get them sorted out then we will let you know straight away. Thanks everyone. We were really, really looking forward to that I can understand that maybe things have to be changed - although I wish someone had checked before announcing it and getting us all excited. However, Gold ticket holders don't seem to be getting a very good deal: a one hour cocktail party? If you're looking at changing things around, I'd like to ask respectfully that you consider doing a little more for Gold ticket holders, otherwise I don't see many of us going for that option in future. Eclipse and lockdown for sunday nights didnt have a regular con party, it was just more of a social gathering in the bar..will prob be the same for this one. The guests wouldn't need to do any more talks if they had them all doing talks on their own as well as being paired up with one other guest. So we would have all the guests doing individual talks. Michael and Chris doing a talk together. Gary and Carmen doing a talk together Given that people are saying that there isn't much to do at some points, this would add two more talks. findo Posted June 12, 2008 Share Posted June 12, 2008 That's very good point - it seems a bit arbitrary to pair up Carmen and Michael and I'd rather each of them had more time to answer questions. Carmen just did "House" so he has something new to talk about. Gary and Chris are both confident & chatty enough to be solo, so why not split them up? tiggerific Posted June 12, 2008 Share Posted June 12, 2008 i am quite disappointed with the event schedule, as many have already said there isnt much going on during the day really .... given how much everybody has paid its not really turning out value for money, im glad i live in northampton and havent spent loads on travel to and money to stay over ..... i was hoping they might have announced a couple more guests to fill the gap up, i know of at least 2 actors who were/are interested in coming but it seems that we arent getting any more unless there are suprise guests we are not being told about ..... I suppose that was understandable since there were a lot more people, but it really sucked having to choose between leaving Sendhil and Noah's talk partway through or going for my Cristine photoshoot late, when she was in a hurry. If they separated it and had talks on saturday morning with the photo's in the afternoon people would still moan. With 6 guests, say each photo session ran for 30 mins you are still talking about it taking 3 hours. Any one who didn't want a photo would be complaining about the afternoon being wasted.
