Record breaking attempt at LFCC

We are going to try to get into the Guinness Book of Records... do you want to try, too?

The record we are trying to set is for the most people in Star Wars outfits in one place. This is something I have wanted to do for years and now seems like the perfect time to try!

On Sunday the 20th of July at 3pm we are going to attempt to set a new world record, and we want you all to be a part of it with us.

Any star wars outfit is going to be accepted, home made or bought costumes. All are all welcome.

Every one will get a certificate from us saying that you record break ,  you can show your friends. We will also take a photo of you all and put it up on the internet high res so you all can download it after the event

you will be registered and you name will listed with the Guinness Book of Records as being part of the record and you can then send of for an official certificate from the Guinness Book of Records "HOW COOL IS THAT"

If you are part of a costuming group then we will give your group a space with 2 tables to set up and use as a base at the show (to keep your team's bags, promote yourselves, etc), and we will give you 4 entry passes free for your group leaders. Just contact us by e-mail 2 weeks before the event.

However you do not have to be part of a group to get involved,if you are just a fan that wants to join in just come along and have some fun!

If you want to be a part of this attempt then all you have to do is be there at 3pm on the Sunday at LFCC (regular entry to the event is £5 after 11am). Once you arrive just register at the cosplay zone, where there will be  x10 changing rooms and you to get changed in, and you will get a certificate for being a part of the attempt plus a bottle of water each.

We have contacted people at the Guinness Book of Records so we can have a representative there to verify the numbers and officially confirm the record has been set.

THIS IS NOW OFFICIAL AND ANY ONE COMING IN COSTUME ON SUNDAY AT 3 PM WILL BE A RECORD BREAKER    

we know over 150 people are now going to take part so lets see how big we can get this

Start spreading the word and we will be sure to set a world record

See you there as I will be in costume, too!

Its a good idea, but I think it will be hard to break it outside of the USA, maybe an european record

hay Skylover we CAN DO IT mate  

we are not saying come as a Stormtrooper just put on a robe and then you are a Jedi

its easy if we get around 300 people in costume then we could have a chance

if you have a Stormtrooper outfit thats event better

I wonder if the record book guy will check a database to see if all the costumed are really from SW and not a random alien from Farscape or anything else lol

Surely just having a T-shirt that looked like a jedi tunic wouldn't be enough to count, otherwise the record could be broken by effectively "the largest number of people wearing the same T-shirt"?

There were a lot at CE as well. However, since a number of costumes will be at CJ they can't be in London as well at the same time

That's a great idea: i just hope it won't clash with photoshoots   ...Maybe photoshoots will be all done at 3 PM?...

Well as someone suggested - give the crew Jedi Tunics instead of t-shirts and you've easily got another 100+ people

If I could take a break to don my full body home made chewbacca costume, I defo can be there
Whats the liklihood of getting the guests into a costume? Could we just put a blue bowl on Kenny Bakers head and stick him at the front?
