Think of it this way - if anyone else shows up, it will be a nice surprise!

Oh yeah, deffinately :D

I would love for there to be more guests, but please let's not have any surprises - I have a variety of stuff to get signed by different actors and i cannot bring it all. Please can we have any announcements made on the forum or the website, preferably before the Event . i would also love to see a schedule but I expect that is asking a bit too much.

The website still says "more guests to be announced soon".

But I think they're just teasing.

Earlier today, The Better than Life website (The Red Dwarf event that was cancelled) said that it was going ahead two days after it was cancelled: Forums are easy to update quickly; websites take a little longer...

Better Than Life was removed from the front page of the Massive Events website about half an hour after the announcement actually. Yes, the website is still online at its former address, but it was removed immediately from the main page, and I had assumed most people would therefore know it was no longer being linked to as an active website.

The text "more guests to be announced soon" is not 'teasing', it is standard text that is placed under the guests section, and has been on every site so far. It is now removed from the C7 website. It was a not a case of the site not having been updated, clearly it has been updated with every new announcement including both versions of the schedules that were psoted earlier today. It was merely something that had been left in by mistake.

It's a misconception that websites take longer to update, I have kept the Massive Events sites as up to date as possible, if not the day of an announcement then the next.

I would appreciate that if you have a query about something written on one of the ME websites, that you please email me directly rather than posting on a public forum issues that you may have.

Hmm, that's very interesting. I remember reading a year of so ago, that the Collectormania websites were not updated regularly because of that very reason. That's the whole point I joined this forum - I only used to look up the website and everyone else knew about announcements long before me. Maybe it's just that you are so good at your job SJ, and since you started doing it, the websites are always up to date! ;-)

Sorry guys, I get a tad defensive when it comes to the websites, I always try to be on top of every little thing, and it's one of my biggest pet peeves ever to have one of my sites that isn't up to date on something.

In terms of the Collectormania websites etc. as far as I am aware they were designed through a program like Dreamweaver or one of them, which is a bit of a hassle to open up and change around and save. Whereas I code everything in notepad, which is easy to open, re-type one or two things and close, hence the fact that it is much quicker ;)

And who knows... maybe you'll be seeing a Collectormania site some time that I'm doing! Heh.

SJ - sorry if I offende you - but I was certainly still seeing the old information up there and on a new computer (well, newly installed operating system and not keeping old files) so I can't think it could be a local cashe issue. Honestly don't know what it was but I really could see the old pages a couple of days later.
