There's so many other great TV shows such as Dexter, The Shield, CSI, NCIS, Lost, Prison Break... that would change from guests from Buffy, Angel, Star Trek, and in this very case more than ever Dr Who...
And don't forget about the movies!
The Shield : Michael Chiklis, but also Walton Goggins, Kenneth Johnson, Benito Martinez, CCH Pounder, Jay Karnes, Catherine Dent... well, actually, all the cast would be great to meet!!!
Prison Break : Robert Knepper, Wade Williams, Paul Adelstein...
Dexter : Jennifer Carpenter, Erik King, Lauren Velez, David Zayas...
From the movies : George Kennedy, Linda Hamilton, Leslie Nielsen, Angie Dickinson... (and i'm only taking those that are scheduled to appear the previous week at a convention in the States, which means they are probably available for that first week-end of November as well...)
Although some of them may be impossible to get (Chiklis?), there's still so much possibilities!
And after all Showmasters got Christopher Lloyd so i may start to think there's nothing impossible!

Haha why don't you mention any other sic-fi shows ?
But agreed, guests mentionned above would be great. Can I add Mad Men to this list ? Excellent show !
Christopher Lloyd even came to Belgium before signing for free and I wasn't even aware of that

Although i don't know that show, you're free to add anyone you wish on that list
We're living in a democracy! Well, that's what the government want us to believe (truth is elsewhere...)
Well I have nothing against sci-fi shows but i think there should be guests for every tastes... I'm glad Dr Who fans will meet actors from that show, but people that are not interested in Dr Who should also have the right to meet people that they would like to meet... I'm not saying that won't be the case as Showmasters will surely announce more names in the weeks to come (and hopefully they will announce the big names they were talking about in their other thread!) but as for the moment i think they focus way too much on one single show neglecting other fans...
LFCC was perfect for instance, as everyone could find a satisfaction attending... Damn i even said 'hi' to a Dr Who guest, but how to resist Georgia Moffett?

You should check Mad Men, it's a very mature show with excellent writings and actings. It won several awards I think. And it's not sci-fi lol
As Nicky said, Dr Who guests are there because they are easily available and much cheaper than the US guests. So that's why they are easy to announce. And also they are celebrating 45 years of Dr Who, therefore the increase of Dr Who guests lately. But I agree some diversity should be added. At the moment, it looks like guests will be announced mainly during the last 3-4 weeks which is a problem for us because we have to book travels early otherwise they become super-expensive. This happened to me with Collectormania. Once I had enough good guests to justify attending, it was too late because Eurotunnel and Eurostar were not selling tickets any more due to problems in the tunnel. It's good to announce guests a little bit later because this avoids late cancellations but too late is not good either. From the pics I saw at C14, it seems like a quiet event, quieter than usual at least.
And yeah Georgia Moffett, resistance was certainly futile

I'd like to meet him - I always felt that Jar Jar was unfairly maligned.
