Havok
I have a friend who is heavily pregnant and against people's and my advice is still going to the event on Sunday. Will there be any medical staff there or first aiders to help in any kind of an emergency?
teroknor34
The Central Hall will have their own First Aiders as it is a legal requirement. BUT Showmasters themselves won't have any medical staff as the liability insurance for even a qualified first aider is way too high.Know this from personal experience in working for other events, have volunteered as am qualified first aider but told that would be provided by the venue only. Would be advisable for your friend to bring a chair if possible (& practical) as the venue has been a bit short on places to sit down in the past. Also if she has trouble standing for long periods in a queue (or obvious issues in a mad rush of people wanting VQ tickets) have a word with the nice crew members & I'm sure they will be able to help in some way. chris_mk
I wouldn't worry too much about lugging a chair around, I'm pretty sure one can be obtained at short notice!

Grazer
The venue itself probably has basic first aid facilities and trained first aid staff (but I don't recall the first aid course covering delivery of babies ) If she needs a chair or something, get her to ask one of the crew - we'll do what we can. Personally though, given the amount of people I think will be there, it really is advisable for her not to attend if she's as heavily pregnant as you're suggesting. Thanks for all of your replies. :)
