cos normally people get star struck when they meet someone famous

Depends if you wanna talk to them really.

 

It can be as simple as:

 

"Hi, how are you? Having a good time? Thanks for coming!" etc.. if you're a bit nervous, no harm in just being friendly and polite.

 

Or you could just talk about a particular thing they worked on that you like, ask them about it or something?

 

It's up to you really, I have no idea what your reasons for meeting those guests are. Guests get asked the same thing loads, but they usually don't mind - I think they expect it!

Talk about their work, or why you want to meet them. I know you have said that you want their autographs, but think about why you first started watching them. The older or more obscure the project, the more appreciatio you might get. I met Adam Busch of Buffy TVS fame, but spoke to him and his band mates about their music. This seemed to surprise them, but it got me a wicked posed photo next to them all - not over the table as they came around - plus free autos on the albums I purchased. They offered to sign the cds for free.

Not always mate. As of yet I have managed to be fine meeting people in the public eye. I think I may be tongue tied if I met Al Pacino or Bobby De Niro.

Actually this doesn't really apply to you as it's more for if you've met somebody before, but even if you had a great meeting with them and talked about something unusual - don't assume they'll remember!

 

 

(That doesn't mean don't mention the last time you met them. Just don't refer to something you said then without explanation! )

I would just like to add in that I notice you have Malcom on your list of meets... in seems he is one of the more popular" guests attending so just to warn you you may not get much time with him and therefor not much of a convo! you'll want to choose something in particular to say, or one Q to ask, maybe ie "I really loved you in Star Trek you killed Captain Kirk that's got to be pretty cool?"

 

but with some one like Kenny Baker, he is likely to be fairly steady but not have a MASSIVE Q, so you may get more of a chat ad whatever you do, don't ask him about how hot it must have been to be inside R2D2!!!!! (I was his PA at Glasgow...)

Now I'm older its hard to know what to say to someone famous. When I was young and dumb I just talked s*** and must have looked like a right fool. My answer for this would be have a few pints and hope for the best.
