Preferably the Premier Travel Inn at G-Mex but anything nearby will do. I didn't book anything this time round for various reasons and now I have nowhere to stay.

Please let me know, even if you only have a bath/wardrobe/floor space free, I'm desperate!

:D

You're the one who was trying to arrange an orgy, right? No offence but that's not really what I'm after :chair:

Glad you picked that up - I was going to make sure you saw the thread if you were looking to take up the offer! The GMex Premier Travel Inn does still have rooms, £124 for 2 nights though  :chair:

Thanks for your concern :chair:

I can't afford to book a room unless I've got several people to share with me and split the cost, so yeah - I'm still looking if anyone has a room! :poki:

I don't have one booked but if you were to book one I would probably be willing to share... I was going to get the bus in every morning but I'd be quite content with getting a little extra sleep, lol.

I very much doubt that anyone who goes to these events, stays in their hotel room on their own in the evenings.

Most people who attend the events regularly know other people that they can hang around with both during the day and in the evening.

So I would doubt that many people once the days event is over , will only go back to their hotel room, there's pubs , clubs, restaurants etc

Yeh but it is only for a few days so people sharing rooms isnt really a big deal.I personally wouldnt allow it incase my wallet or anything went missing. But i can understand how people with the same interests would meet up, i think one group are called the ' trekkies '.  I suppose i should be finding some ' droogs '.

People share rooms in order to to lesson the cost of the hotel room, thus giving more money to spend at the event itelf.

I agree it's not everyone's choice to share with strangers, but over time, you get to know people very well , and then you can consider sharing.

It's nice to see that you have put yourself into a 'category'    I'm not sure what someone who likes a range of films comes under, I'm not a Trekkie, Droog, Gater or anything really !

Well i could only think of droogs as a group being associated with Malcolm.I hate the fact that Clockwork Orange is mostly what hes known for considering hes done over 170 films. A lot arent even mentioned on IMDB. Theres only a handfull of people i would ever travel to meet or ever want to meet. Like i said in the other thread ..money is money.I have no problem paying at all.Sometimes you need to make sacrifices lol

I think that even someone living in the most impoverished areas of the world who have never seen Star Trek will have heard of TREKKIES. You make it sound like it is something unheard of!! I sense more of your bulls*it mocking again. Belt up and cut it out.

I can never understand why people rate IMDB so reliable. I find it lacking big time and avoid it with a passion. It has many holes and mistakes on it.

*shouts* I don't care about Trekkies or whatever!

*calms down* There was a point to this thread, can we head back in that direction please?

Psychosis - I'll see if anyone else is interested because if there were a few of us then I'd book the room.

I think most people will have their places sorted out by now so i cant see a problem with you finding someone to share with.

You seem to have entirely missed the point of this thread then, which is that I can't find someone to share with. People having their places sorted quite often means they don't have space left.

Anyone?

I have a male friend who's looking for a hotel for the Saturday night- don't think he's booked yet. I could check with him if you'd wanna share with a guy?

Okay, just checked, and he'd love to crash on the Saturday. That'd knock it down to £20 each for the Sat and £40 for the Fri so far. We're gonna have to try to decide pretty quickly cause it says it's the last few rooms.
