Queen_Sindel
That's the map of the area as found on the venue's website: http://www.manchestercentral.co.uk/downloa...ere_Parking.pdf I couldn't find your coach station, but then on the other hand I've never been good with maps. Arik_Soong
It is close just a few mins walk to the nearest tram station, GMEX is a 5 - 10 min walk and Piccadilly is a few mins away. I did some directions to the nearest station for you if you wish to take the tram to GMEX from the coach station: The easiest way is once you leave the Coach station walk straight ahead till you get to Portland street. Its usually the one with all the buses constantly on it. Then turn right and head towards Piccadilly Gardens. You'll pass a music shop and i think the Piccadilly Hotel. You'll know you are there from the busy bus Station that appears on the lefthand side. You should also see a Tram station also called piccadilly gardens on the otherside of the bus station. A single trip is 60p to Gmex station so thats good. But you must wait for the Altringham or Eccles Tram, it should say on the front which one it it. These 2 go by GMEX Station. Dont get on the Bury Metro. GMEX Station is 2 stops from Piccadilly gardens station, the journey should take no more than a few mins depending how frequent the trams run If you need anymore help with getting there just ask me and i'll help you out

Arik_Soong
Thats good at £25 a night Piccadilly station is not far from Gardens, heh you could even get the Tram from the Piccadilly Train station, and its 60p even from there. Well if you need anymore directions or anything i'll help ya out the best i can

Alipeeps
Go to Google maps... look up the postcode of the coach station and type it in.. this will bring up the location of the coach station. In the bubble box that appears pointing to the location of the coach station, click on "from" and type in the postcode of your hotel. This will then highlight the route for you on the map and, in the left hand box on the screen, give you street by street directions for getting there. Alipeeps
Had a quick look for you: http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?hl=en&re...sa=N&tab=wl Bear in mind the directions given on Google Maps are for driving but as you can see from the map, you could walk in a more direct route, rather than following the route given. It's 1 mile from the coach station to the hotel. There is also some brief directions to the hotel on their website: http://www.travelodge.co.uk/find_a_hotel/h...hp?hotel_id=
Showmasters Admin Too Tall Posted November 15, 2007 Showmasters Admin Share Posted November 15, 2007 http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?sourceid=nav...t%2c+Manchester I did that. It takes you a very long way because of the one way system. But it gives you an idea.
graeme2020uk
1 mile?!!!!! This is terrible
Alipeeps
1 mile?!!!!! This is terrible 1 mile is the distance for the longer driving route given by Google Maps. It's probably a lot less if you take a more direct route. 1 mile would take maybe 20-30 mins to walk, if you take a more direct route, using the map shown in the Google Maps link I posted, it's probably take you maybe 15 mins, I would think? Moderators DavidB Posted November 15, 2007 Moderators Share Posted November 15, 2007 Just use something like Multimap or whatever - look up the postcode on Travelodge website and the GMEX postcode, then search for them. You'll be able to see if they're near to each other etc. I'd do it myself but I've got a lot to do right now, I'm sure you can manage.

You can see where they are in relation to each other, and even work out a route to walk, on the google maps links posted earlier (you can zoom the maps in if necessary)... and Too Tall already posted that a taxi would cost about £5.
