what does it mean when it says at the bottom of the main music mania page in the small writting that 'charges will be made for autograhs'. what are these charges likely to be. Thanks

An autograph usually costs around 15 pound per guest on a provided photo.

i know it's to stop people cashing in on it, and selling them on e-bay, but i still think 15 quid is rather a lot, especially if you're wanting to meet more than one or two artists.
Who I've met

Music - Antony Costa (7 times) Freefaller (2 times) D-side, Alvin Stardust (2 times) Gwen Steffani & Dizzy Rascal

Tv - Denise Welch, Marc Bannerman, Micheal Greco, Steve McFadden,  ''Grant and Nigel'' from eastenders, Tommy Walsh, ''Boycie'' from Only fools and Horses, Terri Dwyer, Ben Freeman, Cat Deely, Nick Bailey

It's more to cover the costs of running the show and the fee for the artist rather than to stop people cashing in on E-bay. Prices will be announced nearer the event, but I wouldn't be surprised if a few of the artists were only £10.

£15 is going rate for guests at the film and tv events. Don't se why music guests would be any cheaper really.

Yeah, it's less about cashing in on eBay, more that there are costs to cover, and hopefully a profit to be made etc. These aren't like in-store promotional appearances or anything.

Anyway for £10-15 you'll get an autograph (personalised if you want), probably a photo if things aren't too busy, and a chance to meet them and talk. At least you know what you're getting is 100% genuine too

Is it any less if you provide your own photo? Also, does it cost money to have your picture taken with the stars if you use your own camera?

I can't say for sure but based on other Showmasters events:

1. The price you pay is per autograph so it doesn't matter what you get signed, it's no cheaper to bring your own stuff.

2. It doesn't cost anything to have photos taken at the signing desks with the guests. A friend can take it for you, or a crew member.

There will probably be professional photo shoots available too, but they'll cost and be in front of a proper background etc :D

Thank you for that. It's a big help

I'm trying to work out my finances at the moment as there are so many auto's I want to get at this event  :D
