I am sure many many people will be disappointed at this but let me just say that it is NOT the fault of the another show/another show team. I am biting my tongue here as I will probably end up banned if I don't - but I am very very tetchy on this subject. The above quote fron the another show board was only part taken from the post. I suggest you hop over to the board and read the full version and not take tidbits to stir up crap. There has been no news for either another show or another show from Showmasters and I am extememely disappointed with the way this has been handled on their part. Yes, I understand there have been personal issues that have prevented regular postings - but there is more than ONE member of Showmasters that can post. I too suffered personally last year, and I know that it's difficult. But when you are a professional company you have to get on with things. Let me just ask, how come Collectormania and the likes are still pulled off?? Why does another show have to suffer through neglect? There are many fans crying out for this type of convention in the UK that simply can't find Germany as an option. I have children, and paying the same price for a two year old on the plane as myself is a killer. I can't understand why Jason and co have let this slip. You were on to a winner. Dirk and co have even managed to get plans together in the USA for a another show there. And the UK is way nearer yet so very far away. But to be honest, I'd rather fly to the States and spend my money *cough* there. I know there will be a lot of speculation from some as to why the decision was made, but those who need to know, already know. Sure dog crap will fly about, but only by those who choose to stir it up and have nothing better to do with their lives, or cannot post on other boards for that matter. All they achieve is very little, though I am sure the personal satisfaction of getting a reaction will keep them amused for days. So keep smiling 'cos you got one. I could write many things here but I choose not to. I could fly on my broomstick and use it to whack a few people with but I choose not to. I could throw a few personal insults to people but I choose not to. Maybe I should stick them in an email and direct them at the people who have really made me mad, and I'd have a valid reason to do this rather than just shooting from the hip. Well that's my piece. Yes, I have let rip, but it's nothing compared to what's going on. Yup, I am very bitter right now and it will take a lot of sugar on my tea to make me sweet again. I can find a another show.de site with a forum in German but as I can't read German I dont know if that's where it was posted. I'm not personally interested in Star Trek but reading around this forum over the last few days, I've discovered that the same company who run another show are also involved with another show which I am interested in, so of course I'd like to know more. There is no official announcement, so you will have to make up your own mind based on posts on the forum. All I can say is that another show UK was postponed and Ring Con UK is now occupying those dates, and the official word is that another show will be 2008. Not helpful, I know, but honest! But yes, as much as people can say certain things about the event and whoever involved, we don't know what's going on and how/if it'll impact on another show at all. It seems from what I was reading that no-one here or there really knows what happened to the UK another show. As I'm new I don't know the history of this. Was there actually a another show part of the forum before like there is for Ringon? Lets hope for some good news about another show soon. It was not Dirk who has posted a statement, but the another show event MC, Marc B. Lee. There has been no statement either from Showmasters or Dirk. I don't know if somebody has noticed this mistake, but I think that the reason is simple: there won't be any another show UK, but only another show DE!
