how about some rock music guests

Recommended Posts

Judging by what has been announced so far i would go so far as too say the only "rock" guests we'll get are Slade or Wizard etc, nothing current....

Shame.

Ville is one of the nicest people ive ever met, Meat Loaf was cool too.

By current, I assume you mean under 25?? I appreciate where you're coming from, but there is a wider world of music out there. A lot of 'old' bands are still out there as working bands; Deep Purple, for instance, released one of the best albums of their career last year. I do agree about Slade and Wizard though - I have no burning need to give Noddy Holder £25. Not that he needs it - thanks to "Merry XMas Everybody" his family is probably set up for the next 200 years.

For what it's worth, here's my list off the top of my head : -

Completely unrealistic and never going to happen in a million years

Robert Plant

Jimmy Page

Bruce Springsteen

Jon Bon Jovi

Ritchie Sambora

David Gilmour

Kate Bush

Slash

Bruce Dickinson

Pretty unlikely, but not impossible

Brian May

Billy Gibbons

Dusty Hill

Eddie Van Halen

Steve Harris

Dave Murray

Adrian Smith

Nicko McBrain

Ritchie Blackmore

Ronnie James Dio

Tommy Iommi

Angus Young

John Petrucci

Joe Satriani

Izzy Stradlin

Perfectly reasonable

James Dean Bradfield

Paul Rodgers

Roger Taylor

Phil Collen

Joe Elliot

Roger Glover

Ian Paice

Steve Morse

Don Airey

Jon Lord

Debbie Harry

How about it Mark? Are you "in talks" with anyone from this list? :spidy:

Ive met Ville at pretty random places, other gigs, pubs, places like that...

Id be happy for older bands to do this event, Aerosmith, Metallica, ZZ Top any of that sort of thing, i just think that the more likely guests are gonna be the ones that arent currently touring or recording.

what no hamster, christa?

I don't share the Hamster!

Seriously though let's have some hard rocking dudes. I must meet Black Sabbath one day, especially as my Heaven and Hell ticket has been sold to someone else as the show clashes with my friends wedding :D

I'm going to that - Sabbath Mark II! I always prefered RJD to Ozzy anyway :)

Seeing as how they are reuniting to perform at Live Earth, how about getting Spinal Tap to come along?

I second that, i met Michael McKeen and he insisted on signing This Is Spinal Tap as David St Hubbins "otherwise its not authentic"

Fine by me!

id like to get the dvd and cd finished now....
