howard shore pulls it off to a tee!!

you feel exactly the same emotions from the music as you do when you read the book.

sad, happy etc...

one scene that makes me cry is when the fellowship come out of moria after loosing gandalf the music is really powerful :vader:

I've stolen some links off my Shore-obsessed friend that you might want to check out if you are also a rabid fan.

ROTK OS (if you understood that then you're one of the fans)

If you live in New Zealand or, at a push, Australia, you might want to go to this!

His official site - I can't believe I've never been here before!

39 days until the 3rd album is released! And look at the content of the first link closely! Viggo and Billy sing! AAAAIIII!

I LOVE "Riders of Rohan" on TTT ST!!!  My god... I could listen to it over and over!  And Samwise the Brave.... FANTASTICO!
I always knew Viggo had good taste, you know.  Never go for the kind of dark brown dark beard you know, but strawberry blonde is something that really brings out her skin texture. ~Dom on Viggo's bearded lady love

She's a woman, so I get that out of her, but she's also bearded which means I can kind of... I can get a different kind of spin on things.  And you know, thats fine.  Viggo's an artist and he can do whatever he wants.  It's not really going to float my boat, but I'm not going to say anything against it.  You just keep on trucking Viggo. ~ More Dom on Viggo's bearded lady love

I mean... one could but perhaps shouldn't delve into a few of his... stranger episodes.  But I'll save that.  ~Viggo's attempt at revenge for bearded lady love.

Thats great.  He's gonna kick the f...k out of me for that one. ~Dom reflecting on telling of bearded lady love.

Actually, all the Samwise stuff seems to be in the faves. So very inspiring, and 'encapsulates' (heehee! My Elijah-word) the whole essence of the movie. What does Phillipa Boyens says? Something like (and excuse the extreme misquotation): "There are these two hobbits literally crawing on their hands and knees through Mordor, and that's the essence of the movie". And Sam embodies that loyalty, that determination, that stubborness not to despair.

Hmmm. Maybe I should write a review on it?

Well, there is that, but she does actually say that the whole external war effort led by Gandalf and Aragorn is only conducted to give Frodo and Sam a chance. I'm sure it's quoted in the DVD ... somewhere.

But I love that quote anyway!

It appears that an astounding 100% of voters loved the score to bits. That is truly amazing.

What other film scores do you like? I, personally, own Gladiator, Titanic and The Jungle Book (Disney version!). I would love to have Waterworld and The Secret Garden, but I don't think either has been released. :D
