wyrdsister
Quick question for Showmasters. Will there be another costume comp at C4? if so, is there any chance of a tiny wee bit better organisation than at C3? I went there on Sunday (not in costume ) but I only stumbled on some of the competitors by accident. It would have been nice to see all the entrants. taking a polaroid of them as they enter the competition perhaps, and post them by the organiser's table...if you miss the award part, at least you get to see what costumes people have worked on. Just a thought... Ta x

Showmasters Admin showmasters Posted May 18, 2003 Showmasters Admin Share Posted May 18, 2003 "Costume Comp @C4: will there be one?" Probably "if so, is there any chance of a tiny wee bit better organisation than at C3?" We'll try! The costume competitions this May were sort of a last minute decision and we didn't have a chance to organise them properly in the end. This time we'll start working on them earlier. KT171
To be honest I think you should have a kids one and a adults one because at the end of the day, who's gonna beat a cute little kid dressed up as Frodo or like wise. I think it would make it alot fairer
wyrdsister
Thanks Showmasters I'll start working on a costume then
ikki
lol! i remember the comp... i didnt really care about winning, but us 'older' (hehe, im only 14 aswell) ones thought that being in a competition with a little boy dressed up as frodo or a little girl in a pushchair (a pushchair.. DO YOU HAVE ANY IDEA HOW ADORABLE THAT IS!!) as galadriel, was really bad competition, no one would have chosen say.. me... over a cute kid in a pushchair... next time im bringing a pushchair. Yeah, i agree with KT, we should have it seperate for kids and 'olders' .. your not putting me in the kids.. ill be 15 by then.. YOU CANT MAKE ME COMPETE WITH THE CUTE ONES IN THE FLIPPIN PUSHCHAIRS!! IT AINT FAIR.. IM JUST... NOT AS CUTE AS THEM I TELL YOU!! NOT AS FLIPPING CUTE!! lol.. j/k... hehe, im on some kind of random sugar high, even tho i havent eaten sugar.. i ahvent even eaten *sigh* 2am.. i should really be in bed.. ok, feel free to ignore me.... now. Showmasters Admin showmasters Posted May 31, 2003 Showmasters Admin Share Posted May 31, 2003 What about if we make it that you can only enter if you actually make your own costume That'll teach those young whipper-snappers! KT171
I like the sound of that but what if the mothers have made the kids costumes?.......no offense to the kids but its not really fair having us adults , who have obviously made our costumes compeating against them wee kids! Pippin Took
ah I think KT should get a prize for perseverence and determination, as well as a great costume! It was really good of Sala to give signed photos to everyone tho :) Lots of love, Pauline xx

No, no. I meant you have to make your OWN costume So unless the cute little 4 year olds learn to sew pretty fast..... No, that really is too cruel! ikki
aww, thanks DarkElfQueen .. hehe i made all of my costume *proud grin* d'you know how many nights i spent bent over sewing that damn thing.. i kinda gave up at the end, and didn't bother hemming the bottom up *hehe* so it got all frayed, and i kept like ripping off random threads through the day... quite disgraceful actually! i think... i should have won a prize cos im just ..., so... talented......on the whole... yeeaaaaahhhh yeah, we should have to make the costumes ourselves, or at least, from a certain age group up you should.. cant really expect the little kids to take up sewing at four *tsk tsk showmasters, you cruel people* but the little kids shouldn't be allowed to have had thier mummy's/daddy's help .. so we're gonna need some photo proof (wait.. this is better--> )

Indiana
I had a costume...but I won't be wearing it to C4 (For reasons which I'll explain after someone correctly answers the following question) Can anyone guess what the costume was?
