icLiverpool reports that film location manager Robin Higgs was in Liverpool on October 12 looking at locations for the Batman Begins sequel, The Dark Knight:

A spokesman for Liverpool Film Office said today: "Robin Higgs was in Liverpool scoping out the city, mainly along the waterfront.

"He's looking to bring the director Christopher Nolan up at the end of the month. However, they are also looking at Yorkshire, Glasgow and parts of London as well.

"Filming will start in 2007 and the film is due out during Capital of Culture year."

WE NEED DATES!!! be great to see the stars of that!!! Chrstian Bale,Heath Ledger!!!! and to get Nolan would be good too

I guess you just need to keep you eyes open. Bizarre but true: a year and a bit back I was wandering through central London and tried out a new shortcut across what seemed to be a quiet university campus. Didn't see anyone around or any signs to tell me I shouldn't be there, but next thing I knew, I was walking past some American style cop cars with GCPD on them. It wasn't till a few minutes later, after I'd walked out through a gate with a security guy on it (who didn't bother me, as I was going out) and saw all the starvans and make-up trailers, that I realised I'd unwittingly walked on and off of a location shot for Batman Begins, and had been passing the building that was used for Gotham's Police Department.
