I P Freely
With the North and South well covered by LFCC, Gmex and Collectormania, is there any chance of a future event in the Birmingham area. Us out in the Midlands and West Country are a litte bit out it for getting to some of the other shows. IMHO i think you would be onto a winner because of the location. Cheers. rich5wolves
..... I think Brum is well covered by someone else ...... Brum is not the only place in the midlands................. Also with the diversity of guests available today its always possible to put another event in there with different guests and people will turn up. People always do..........(apart from Autographica last time round )
Showmasters Admin Too Tall Posted July 10, 2006 Showmasters Admin Share Posted July 10, 2006 ..... I think Brum is well covered by someone else ...... Agreed. The other problem is that they use the only viable venue too, and as I understand it have a contract with them that means other events of the same type can't use it. dufresne
Oh well with that single guest you have convinced me GENERALLY speaking, SMs lead the way !
mightymax
Well if you look at what is on within the near future its pretty pants! They have struggled big time, I have heard it has changed hands and some other people are getting involved but I am only going out of a bordom and it is just up the road from me. Got to agree with Dufresne SM are leading the way @ the moment showing everyone how it should be done! Well done SM
nicky
Well if you look at what is on within the near future its pretty pants! I think that show's main focus though is the stalls rather then guests hence it's name.
Showmasters Admin Too Tall Posted August 8, 2006 Showmasters Admin Share Posted August 8, 2006 (edited) Well if you look at what is on within the near future its pretty pants! I think that show's main focus though is the stalls rather then guests hence it's name. And that was great for the first 2-3 times I went there. But the last 2 times I've been there's been nothing new, it's the same stalls over and over again. I was going but the guests I wanted have cancelled so I'm not going to bother. A007
Brum does get odd good guests, Eliza Dushku and David Carradine spring to mind. But upcoming lineup is pants. Not going, will have extra cash for C10! SM 2 - 0 BRUM Edited August 8, 2006 by A007
dufresne
Well I played a small part in their forthcoming reunion, so I'm really looking forward to that, but yes, their summer line-up is traditionally PANTS ! Three a year (of the same show) is tooooooo many !
nosfer2
And they've just announced a whole load of cancellations - I had been thinking of going but now I'm going to save my pennies! Just hope Showmasters can get Garrett Wang and Robin Curtis to an event soon.
