A hushed rumble of a car could be heard outside of number 4 privet drive as a blue ford Anglia arrived at the home of the Dursleys, inside the car sat Arthur Weasley, and beside him in the passenger seat, sat his son, Ronald Weasley, a very tall and gangly boy with long fiery red hair. Ron hopped out of the car eagerly after waving farewell to his father and swung his backpack over his shoulder, he walked towards the door, smirking at the three faces of the Durlseys who were pressed up against the window beside it, their expressions that of shock and horror at this clearly unexpected arrival. As Ron raised his hand to knock, the door suddenly swung open and behind it stood an excited Harry with a wide grin upon his face.

“Hello mate!†Greeted Ron as he embraced his friend briefly, patting him on the back, “Dad told me to say hello for him too, but he didn’t want to-†he lowered his voice to a whisper so that only Harry could hear him, “see those bloody horrible muggles again, not that I blame him,†He finished with a snort.

Harry chuckled and nodded once, “Nor can I,†he replied as he ushered Ron inside, ignoring the speechless Vernon and Petunia Durlsey who were still stood at the window, apparently frozen, but their son, Dudley was clearly not. He was now standing in front of the stairs, his piggy features contorted in anger at the prospect of sharing “his house†with someone who had something to do with the cousin he so despised, he was in fact acting rather brave for someone who had hardly had good experiences with wizards, not that he didn’t deserve that treatment, quite the opposite really.

“Get out of my house!†He screamed, stamping his feet like a baby who had just had his favorite toy taken away from him.

“Your house?†scoffed Ron, “Not enough mud for it to be your house.†He added with a mock expression of thought as he glanced around the hallway. Harry smiled at this, however Dudley clearly didn’t understand this and stood still, his eyes glazed over in stupidity until he took a step forwards, ignoring Ron’s comment. He moved towards him, his arm swinging backwards, preparing to slam it into Ron’s nose, Ron however was faster and quickly withdrew his wand from his jeans, he lifted it and without thinking of quite what to do, he ducked and swung the wand upwards where it became stuck in Dudley’s nose.

“Ew,†Shuddered Harry, “That’s the one thing that’s worse than Troll bogies.†He laughed; this was certainly going to be a fun holiday.
