Immature Behaviour

Disclaimer: Harry Potter and all related characters, places and events belong to J.K. Rowling. I'm just using them for this non-profit story!

Professor Flitwick turned the key in the lock and gave a little hop of glee.
‘How long do you think it’ll take them to notice?’ he asked, sitting down in a comfy armchair and taking a biscuit from the tin going around.
‘Notice?’ asked Professor McGonagall. ‘Oh, not more than twenty minutes. But to actually figure out what’s going on? Considerably longer, I expect. Pass the biscuits, would you?’
‘I’m still not sure this is a good idea,’ said Professor Vector, with a nervous look at the door. ‘What if Professor Dumbledore doesn’t like it?’
‘Well, Professor Dumbledore’s away for the day, isn’t he?’ said Madam Hooch, with a wicked grin.
‘And if he gets angry, we’ll tell him it was all my fault,’ said McGonagall. ‘But he won’t. Even if he finds out, he’ll just think it’s funny.’
‘It does seem rather immature, though,’ said Vector. ‘And I do have a lot of work to do, Minerva.’
‘So do we all - that’s the point!’ said Professor Sinistra, lying back in her armchair and stretching out her legs. McGonagall obligingly conjured a footstool for her.
‘We need some time to unwind,’ agreed Flitwick. ‘Normally, of course, I’m sure we would all frown upon this sort of behaviour, but it’s the last day of what’s been rather a stressful term, and the students probably need this as much as we do.’
‘Exactly,’ said McGonagall. ‘And it isn’t as if we would have got much teaching done anyway. It’s always chaos on the last day – I hardly got a thing done this morning. Better to get out of it altogether, I say.’
‘Which we have done!’ said Hooch, with a happy sigh.
For a moment, the only sound was the munching of biscuits and sipping of tea.
‘What is this place, anyway?’ asked Vector suddenly. ‘Spare staffroom or something?’
She looked about the room – it was full of comfortable chairs and cheerful furnishings, a tea-set on the sideboard, a cupboard full of biscuits and cake, bright pictures on the walls, and even a few books and magazines arranged neatly on a coffee table.
‘Don’t you know?’ asked Snape.
‘This is the Room of Requirement!’ said McGonagall. ‘It can turn into anything you need it to be. And, well, we needed a place to hide from the students for the afternoon, and the Room provided!’
Vector nodded in understanding.
‘Minerva?’ she asked, after a moment.
‘Hmm?’ McGonagall said, already curled up catlike in her armchair and reading Witch Weekly.
‘Is this another one of those things we can never mention again?’
‘Of course, dear.’
Vector shrugged, chose Astronomy News from the pile of magazines, and took another biscuit. Education could wait.

I like the use of the room of requirement and the suggestion that there are a lot of things that the teachers can never mention again

Nope, I've just done a lot of volunteer work at schools!

How come you always write such good fics?
  Although I notice that one of your stories is Molly and the other is McGonagall...can you ever write about anybody else?

ohhh cool... nothing wrong with having favourite characters to write about though... means you get to know them really well, and that's reflected in your work!! I like the subtle depth!

I don't entirely understand the Harry and Voldy thing you guys seem to have, but then two of my friends claim to be Bellatrix and Narcissa, so I guess anything goes!

A while back I was coined to be Lord Voldemort - seemed someone was trying to insult me - I took it on and have been ever since lol - We're also cosplaying as they at g-mex lol

The dark lord will be signing for a discounted price of £10 - undercutting his closest rival XD We've also got a Bella and Cici lol

Sorry, I didn't mean to leave anyone out, I just happened to be talking to those two on MSN about how they're dressing up as the Sisters Black for G-Mex.

If anyone wants to know, there are six of us and we each have a different Death Eater persona. Happy now, dear?
