Bond Guests at Autographica

Thought I would post a bit more here about the great Bond guests that I met recently at Autographica, and to see how the rest of you found them.

Ursula Andress

There was a great selection of photos, cost of photo including auto was £25 each. I had brought my photos with me, and also got her to sign in the Bond Girls book.

Ursula was very pleasant and seemed a bit bemused by the whole thing, I asked her how she was enjoying the weekend and she said she had just been eating her breakfast and now she was signing and meeting all these people ! She also joked about all the items I was having signed and that I had brought my whole collection and that she was tired and may not be able to sign for anyone else. She wasn't allowing flash photography due to a recent eye operation but she was happy to pose for photos and I also took a a couple of others whilst she was signing. She signed her picture in the Bond book, two 10x8's from Dr No, and one from the Hammer movie, She.

Mai Ling

Very pleasant lady, and whilst I don't know how old she is , she didn't look much older than she did 41 years ago in Goldfinger ! She also seemed a bit bemused by the event but was happy again to pose for a photo, sign the Bond Girls book and also a 10x8 montage of her with Sean Connery in Goldfinger.

Priscilla Barnes

Just about one of the best guests ever, really happy to chat away to fans, take time with them and really give them a good experience. She signed to Bond book and a 10x8 I had brought, which I thought was a Bond publicity shot, but she told me it was actually from a short run American TV series , called American Girls that had been set up as a rival for Charlie's Angels.

Guy Hamilton

I only met Guy briefly, but he posed for a photo and was very pleasant, he signed my Live and Let Die DVD cover.

Clifton James

Very pleasant again. He signed a 10x8 of him with Roger Moore and David Hedison, which David had signed for me at a previous Autographica and also a 10x8 of him with Roger Moore.

John Terry

I have to own up on this one, as I actually got him to sign a LOST photo, and chatted to him about that , rather than Bond.

Sadly, I don't think Terence Mountain, Yaroslaw Horak and Mollie Peters were there, and I had run out of cash , so couldn't get Norman Wanstall or Joe Robinson. A great Bond lineup again though for Autographica with some unusual guests and first timers as well. Lets hope for some more great guests at the next show in March.

I also went to Autographica and heres who i met:-

Mai Ling - Really nice lady who said she got the part in GF through Cubby. She enjoyed working on GF more as she had a bigger part and enjoyed working with Connery. Cubby said she could have the part in YOLT if she didnt have a speaking role as in those days he didnt want a Bond girl to reappear as a different character (Only Martine Beswicke had before) - So for a bit of fun she worked on the film - she also appeared in the opening titles.

Ursula Andress - Very friendly and was happy to pose for photos and have a small chat with me - was great to meet her face to face.

Priscilla Barnes - What a fantastic lady - I was chatting for ages about her role in the film and about how i got into Bond films and collecting the autographs - She said she didnt realise Benicio Del Toro was in the film till someone asked her what it was like working with him! She looked great and was very friendly - If you ever get the chance to meet her make sure you do!!

John Terry - Nice guy he didnt remember much about working on TLD as it was a long time ago but he did enjoy talking to me about his role in 24 and Lost. He said that the end of Season 1 of Lost is great as it leaves more twists - shame i have to wait another year to see season 2!

Clifton James - LALD/TMWTGG - Friendly funny guy who i enjoyed meeting.

Overall i had a great day i was also lucky enough to purchase a Jill Bennett - Jacoba Brink - FYEO who died in 1990.

All the scans of my new autographs are up on my site - When i get time i'll put up the photos i took of the stars.

Take a look at my autographs -
