Hi all,

As most of you that have been to SM events know by now, there's a small film crew (us!) scuttling about, recording various aspects of the shows for future DVD release. Talks, interviews with the guests, dealers and attendees all help to build up a picture of what a blast the shows can be for all concerned.

One of the aspects I'd like to explore in a bit more detail with interviews and a little bit of a feature for the C8 shoot is all the costuming that goes on. Since we started filming the events, back at the first London Film and Comic Con, I've noticed the huge amount of effort, thought and talent that goes into the outfits on display at SM events (hmmm, you could read that last bit in an entirely different way!).

So, I was wondering if any of the costuming crowd would care to get in contact with me regarding the possibility of doing a few interviews around or prior to the show, and making sure we get a lot of footage of you and don't miss out on preserving your efforts for all to see? Anybody seriously interested can mail me at: riddley@btinternet.com and we can try to sort something out.

Take care,

-Mark.

-Mark.

Sounds cool.  I think I can get some of 'Team Savvy' to join in.  We are all cosplayers.  I'm not sure 100% what we are doing for costumes just yet.  I know that Harry Potter costumes are on the cards as well as a pirate group for the Sat nite.  I've made note of your e-mail and will be in touch.

:P You're on holiday, aren't you, Mich? That sucks!
We have an x-men group planned, and a periodic group, too. You could have done Phylocke and Van Hellsing (darn, I can't remember her name)'s other half... *Sigh*.
I hope you can!

Umm, it's actually to do with filming the event. Even though it does have mention of costuming (obviously), it's not about who wears what, it's about who would be willing to participate in interviews and be filmed at the event itself. I'm really only likely to get the answers if the thread is initially in the C8 section, even if it does get moved later.

Cheers,

-Mark.
Take care,

-Mark.

Mich hi,

Yes I was at London recently. I came up and spoke to you (as I have done on a couple of occasions before...), but wasn't able to factor in covering you lovely people with the schedule of talks that we had to cover for LFaCC 3, sadly. :-(

Email me and we'll see what we can do.

Take care,

Hehehe... Yeah, that was me, shortly before finishing filming for the day and shuffling off to bed. I'd been really very ill in the run-up to the London gig. That was the first day that week I'd been able to walk unaided!  :(

Are you unable to come to C8 due to holiday time?

Hmmm, obviously the subtle 'having to hang on to things to stay upright' and having the complexion of a corpse didn't give the game away...

The trouble is, anyone who really is ill is doing everything they can to NOT look ill. The ones who 'need a sit down' and 'ooh, I'm all faint' usually just have a cold.

Especially the men. :o

With a bit of luck I won't be ill at C8 and I'll be able to focus on who it is that's just zoomed past.

Take care,

Aww well I was pre-occupied with the mini me so I didn't really get chance to notice the corpselike look. No doubt I'll bump into you at C8 and say Hi.

Take care trouble.

Sounds good! I'm into filming and documentary making myself so I'd be interested to see what you're doing even if you don't want to interview me. I'll be wandering around in costume as rosie cotton, and I'm part of the pirate group.
