DEAR SM: What's the reason behind no directors?

We've had producers but I was wondering why we've never had FILM directors bar Jonathan Frakes who is better known for his acting. Is it cos they are;

 

1) too busy?

2) they just wouldn't do it?

3) they wouldn't draw a big enough crowd cos people are generally more familiar with stars?

4) there arent any directors which you could afford?

5) a director is just too high profile a guest?

6) you'd only have them as part of a reunion?

 

Yes, yes we all know people want Peter Jackson, Tim Burton, David Fincher and aliens vs predator wants James Cameron but I'm sure there are some realistic ones out there.

Nicky I think you answered you own question.

 

If they're well enough known that ppl will pay to see them they're likely to be either working or be far to expensive.
