What is the criteria for a reunion anyway??

In the past cons that SM have had we've had official reunions for;

Red Dwarf

Blake's 7

Star Wars OT

Alien Quadrilogy

Star Wars PT

What all these have in common is that they are/were all part of an on-going series. The pattern suggests that SM only consider franchises or serials as candidates for reunions.

It would seem that SM favours these cos they have a larger fanbase than say just a one-off movie and there is a greater chance of them getting multiple guests spread out over several films/shows rather than from just one film. The bad thing about this is that it limits what reunions (for films anyway) we can have but I still reckon there'll be a Quantum Leap or Battlestar Gallactica one.

This is what I suspect...don't take it as truth, it's just what I think and I don't necessarily think it should be this way either.

Well ... Red Dwarf has been popular for a long time in this country, and a lot of the cast are regulars on the con circuit so it wasn't that hard to put together.

Blake's 7 I believe Jason SM is a fan of, and thought it'd be a cool thing to do. And I think the series was first released on dvd around that time too.

And when ya come to the last three ... they're all kinda tied in to releases ... SW dvd, A vs P, and SW Ep3.

So, perhaps if there's anything happening around LFACC3 time then we'll get something like that ...

I wouldn't class Red Dwarf as on going as there's been nothing since s8 a few years back, though plenty of rumours for s9 / movie

same for SW OT, how is this on going?! dvd release aye but it's not on going as such

lastly SW PT, have I missed the OFFICIAL mention of this?! it doens't mention it on the main CM website and I don't recall seeing it on the flyer from LFACC2.... though when I saw that kid on the front I didn't take one

just my thoughts

surfy sah xx

Sah, it says in the quote that they are/were on-going (at one point or another). By "on-going" I was trying to highlight that they were more than just a one-off or stand-alone thing.

And yes the Star Wars PT was on the flyer I think.

lord of the rings - a trilogy. therefore a series.

yet it has been heavily flamed that there should not be a reunion for this, and that it must be forgotten as being history (despite ROTK not having its final release yet, it is considered by some on this forum as being dead and gone already.)

does this mean we LOTR fans might get a reunion soon please?:P:o:lol:

though i hate to think of the crowds... those who think its dead may want to stay away so you aren't truly disillusioned as to public opinion

i suppose on-going would be easier though to also find a considerable fan-base for - afterall, charachters have to be developed more fully, therefore ppl love/hate charachters more than in a stand-alone... just a thought, of course.

LOTR guests show up quite often anyway and I think it could be a bit soon for an official reunion. SM will probably do this at one stage though I suspect, but will wait until the dust settles some more like a year or so after ROTK extended dvd.

It's this simple - A reunion is arranged to bring togethor the people who were part of a movie /tv show which has now since ended. I don't think it matters if the reuinion focuses on one movie instead of the whole series. I meen originaly LFACC was only going to have an Aliens reunion, it then turnt into an Alien Quadrilogy reunion.

I always thought they changed that cos they couldn't get enough people that were originally on their "get-list".

You have a flyer.

There were two; one for C6 and the other for LFCC3...

If you look at the C6 home page you'll see that Temuera Morrison and Daniel Logan are confirmed guests. Obviously this is the one for the PT reunion.
