I hope today isn't an indicator of the rest of my weekend as I was crapped on by a pigeon just as I was about to have my Speedwells picture taken then on the way out of that, I dropped and trod on the posters that were included in the package

On the plus side I met JHW and her hubby and The Pink Lady and you are all lovely, lovely people and it was a pleasure chatting to you. I really enjoy getting a chance to talk to people about a subject we are all so passionate about - I don't get a chance with my friends and family as they aren't into it!

Evil I hope to track you down tomorrow!

Fairly uneventful for me, didn't seem as busy tonight as last years preview but that was all to the good. It'll be interesting to see if that translates into the show as well. Managed to buy all the 10x8s I wanted for the weekend without too much drama. Interesting the likes of Arwel etc seem to have their own signing desks this year as opposed to having their own seperately areas like last time. Managed to walk round the exhibits section, so,e really good stuff in there thus year.

Interesting selection of carpet and lino samples for sale this year, unlike last years wallpapers!

It'd be lovely to meet you, look out for the lady with the bright pink and blue hair and I'll be the redhead with her. ;)

I agree that the evening seemed quieter than last year but I managed to get a few photo's of myself with the door/cab/posters etc and take pics of the costumes so that's all done. Plus I got my 221b set pic done with no problem.

Being crapped on by birds is supposed to be lucky, so see how the rest of the weekend goes!

It was really great to see you too, and likewise you're completely lovely, as are Jhw and her husband, and it was super to have a big talk about Sherlocky things as a nice prelude to the main event. Hope to meet more of you tomorrow - look for a big mop of very curly blond hair in a Platinum queue and that will be me. I will probably be dropping things or falling over something, which is par for the course with me. I trod on Benedict's foot last time as I moved in for my photo.

I enjoyed this evening: it wasn't too manic, and I got my set photo easily - I had time to arrange myself properly this time!

PS Raylenth - GO TO BED!

I didn't find the carpet/lino samples as appealing as the wallpaper (which I slightly regret not buying) to be honest.

Ending the night on a plus note I got a rare £2 coin in my change from the chinese and it's one I don't have so it's gone in my collection

I will, going in a minute, just need to wind down properly otherwise I'll just be lying here worrying that I must get to sleep :whistling:

Got all my stuff ready for tomorrow but had to double check the trains as I had a feeling things might have changed since I planned my route and they have! I'll probably be getting to Excel for about 7.30 now. Not too bad, a little earlier than I would have liked but I'd rather be there safely than scraping in just as it's opening. At least i'll have time for a pre opening toilet stop and maybe a hot chocolate if the stands are open.

Let's have a mutual -don't drop, chuck or step anything or on any of the guests this weekend pact!

I was also shot by a pigeon today, somewhere around Bart's. The stuff missed my nose by milimeters (literally felt the air stirred by it flying by) and hit me in the leg. Can I limp psychosomatically (is that a word?). Both of my knees not liking the walk around London... DAMN my legs!

Middle age, I can tell you...

Victorian set amazing, but I'm not feeling at home there, like it was with 221B last year. Havent't seen Arwel's walpaper shop so far. It looks like RealSFX guys are not here, so I'm heartbroken for not getting my Danny pic signed.

I don't think he's got one this year JP. I certainly didn't see anywhere that was set aside for it.

Hopefully it will be nice and relaxed Sunday. Not looking forward to the drive into London though lol

Not sure it will be this Benedict being there. I'm anticipating a big increase in people coming tomorrow to try and get his auto but only time will tell.

Talking of The Pink Lady and myself asked about queuing for tomorrow to get in. We asked if they would be using the loading hall, putting us in out ticket groups and letting us into the hall in package order, or if everyone will be queuing outside the main door again which might lead to pandemonium with people getting there super early and running in to get VQ's. Basically they didn't know but said they presumed the organisers had thought of that. We shall see what will happen.

My first day went very well. I've managed to get all the auto's I wanted which is basically everyone available today with the exception of Yasmin and Andrew. I wasn't overly fussed to get Yasmin's so gave her a miss and for £35 I'm happy with Andrew's auto from last year. I managed to see Andrew's talk and Amanda and Rupert's. Gave up Wanda, Timothy and Una's talk so I could get Steven and Sue's again. So that basically frees me up tomorrow to try for Ben's and Louise's autos as my friend would like hers so may as well try too. I'm planning on getting there about 7am to queue and maybe get an early VQ ticket. If I manage to get them I'll be happy but if not it's not the end of the world.

My highlights from today were Alistair Petrie whom I loved chatting to so much, he was very lovely and we had a good chat about Undercover, because of this I decided to splash out and buy a photo shoot with him as another extra add on. Also had a lovely chat with Amanda Abbington who was a delight and so funny.

Looking forward to tomorrow.

Another added bonus was finally meeting Raylenth and The Pink Lady who were both lovely, it was great to meet you. :)

Btw, it was my friends very first convention and she loved every minute of it. :D

Thanks QS, either way we will find out when we get there tomorrow. Other than potentially getting flattened if it's a general queue by people trying to get in as quickly as possible it doesn't really affect the Platinums but I thought it would be nice for the Golds to know as they will be directly affected by either being in first for VQ's or anywhere at all in the queue.

I've decided to try and get there about 7 and just see what the queue is like.

7 sounds like a good compromise, not too early. As I've got try and find parking tomorrow and get a bus to Stratford I'm hoping I'll get there before 8.

Just confirmed by TooTall: yes, this is what is going to happen. Loading hall, different lines per ticket type, being let in as usual in package order.

I had a fabulous day - it was very busy but I didn't feel at all that it wasn't doable, and there wasn't half as much rushing from place to place as last year - though I would have liked to have spent more time in talks! I got to spend the day with Raylenth, which was a joy, and also met Evilfairie, who is not at all evil and in fact very lovely.

All the guests today were gorgeous. I think Foxy Tim might have found it a bit overwhelming but Wanda chatted enough for both of them. Had a lovely talk with Alistair Petrie, and the composers, David Arnold being a bit of a hero of mine. We were so successful at autos today that it has freed up time just to concentrate on the photo shoots and talks tomorrow, plus the Sunday only people for autos (though I am going back to the composers a second time if I can find the time). I think this is a good job as I am expecting it to be pretty manic for Benedict Sunday. Gird up your loins, folks - it will be fangirls at dawn.

It was a lovely day with you to Pink Lady, it certainly made the day go by a lot easier being in like minded pleasant company and I'm looking forward to seeing you again tomorrow.

We had a fantastically successful day and even managed to get a photoshoot done that we were scheduled to have tomorrow as there weren't many people in the queue and the crew let us slip in at the end to help us out tomorrow! I can't believe we only have 3 auto's to get tomorrow! The platinum priority certainly did help as the crew got us to the frontish of the queue for several of the chattier guests who had slow queue's as a result. Felt a bit guilty but everyone was friendly about it and it meant we got a bit more done.

Just about got to the end of what has been a long but good day. Got all of the autos I wanted today, just leaves Mark, Louise and himself tomorrow. All the guests seemed in good form, be interesting to see if Amanda can talk Martin into attending a future event. I managed to make a couple of talks as well, would have been nice to get to a couple more but you can't have everything!

Took myself off to the theatre tonight, getting a standing ticket probably wasn't the best thing, my feet are killing me but the play was good and got an autograph from Ian McKellan afterwards!
