Rain took a video camera and nobody said anything, David is right in saying though, that no filming was allowed in the screening/talk.

I still don't get why you couldn't film that actual talk itself though, Showmasters can you explain this one for me??? I understand about not filming the actual film itself, but to not be able to film the talk itself, I am lost on that one.

I would have loved to have been able to film the talk.

i think SM should film it and then sell them on to those who want it...coz i can kinda see why they wouldnt want us filming it incase someone tried to make themselves money out of it!!!...either that or let us film it ourselves and i promise i wont sell it to the world!! i wanted a video for me me me me meeeeeeeeeee!

hmm i guess thats what they dont want, ppl filming em themselves n selling dodgy copies on eBay etc ... they do that at a lot of conventions with some talks, I know they had issues with video recording at a Buffy con i went to .. but then again, they were sposed to do an official con vid .. i think it'd sell really well if SMs did a Collectormania video with talk clips, then we cud see ones we didnt get to!

I think its more to do with the fact that they might not feel at easy to discuss things when they are being video'd

There are clips on the site under Movie Gallery, one of which is from C3's LOTR talk! On that video clip, it says "45 minutes of chat and entertainment" ... Showmasters! Are you going to release this? It looks a scream!

Everyone is welcome to bring along camaras and camcorders but be aware that any person has the right to refuse to be photographed or filmed. this can effect whether or not you get to film or photograph guests or talks.

Which Celebrities have requested that pictures dont be taken of them??

There are loads of reasons why we don't allow filming of the talks at Collectormania, but as Cushy has mentioned, one of the primary reasons is that we want the guests to feel completley at ease. With no cameras at the talk the guests are far more likely to drop their guard, and have a really great and free experience with the people there. I know that the parts of the talks that I watched this time were so relaxed and open that I would be very hesitant to anything to change this.
