Latest Comic Guest Announcement - The Etherigton Brothers

ARRIVING on the comics scene in 2003 with Malcolm Magic – a four-parter they self-published under their Blink Twice label – Robin and Lorenzo (born Lawrence) Etherington have gone on to establish themselves as major players in the all-ages market.

With Robin – who also authors novels – writing and Lorenzo providing the art, the siblings moved on from self-publishing to produce Monkey Nuts, serialised between 2008 and 2009, for The DFC. That subscription-only weekly children's comic was published by David Fickling Books, a Random House imprint, which also released the Etheringtons' Baggage graphic novel in 2011.

Beyond their own creations the brothers have also contributed to such other comics as Transformers, Star Wars, Wallace and Gromit, Monsters vs Aliens, Madagascar, Kung Fu Panda, Angry Birds and How to Train your Dragon.

While they are enthusiastic and entertaining champions of comics, frequently touring the country to educate youngsters in the medium, the Etherington Brothers are constantly producing their own stories. They are currently working on Long Gone Don for The Phoenix, David Fickling Comics' weekly children's title for which Lorenzo also produces The Dangerous Adventures of Von Doogan and on The Dandy, for which they created Yore in 2011
