Lieutenant/Commander/Captain/Admiral Tickets

Recommended Posts

Not been to one of these events before, so how many of these tickets are likely to be sold?

What I want is to attend Saturday + Sunday and get William Shatner's autograph and a photo shoot with him - possibly a photo on the Enterprise bridge too.

Would I be better just buying 2 day tickets? I would like to see a few of the talks, but will I have problems if I don't get one of the above tickets? How many Lieutenants, Commanders, Captains and Admirals are there likely to be at the talks?

Thankyou in advance.

I also don't understand this. It is like the organisers don't want to sell tickets

They won't reveal the number of tickets sold Marvin. The obvious way to tell is if people post what number they have but usually tickets are only given out at registration and that's when you find out what number you have.

Buying day tickets and the talks you want on top at least you know that you are only going to pay for what you want though you will be seated behind all of the package holders so it also depends on how important location in the talks is to you. The only thing you have to consider is that by going for that option you will be on the VQ system for autographs.

Thanks for the info. At these kinds of events are there usually lots of 'premier' ticket holders? Tbh I'm guessing that Will Shatner's autograph is unlikely to be included in the package due to this: The autographs in each group will be to the value of 2 x £20-£30 3 x £15

as I'm sure his autograph will be more than this.

For a guide on autograph prices they are usually the same as the photo shoot prices. Occasionally they may be different but generally they will be the same.

There will be a lot of package holders yes, but I'd guess less of the more expensive package holders. However I have no way of guessing how many there may be I'm afraid.

Shatner isn't a rare guest as he has done a lot of events and from what I have read before is a signing machine so will probably get through a lot of people, but he's obviously still going to be a very in demand guest.

Thanks again, that's why I was thinking of going for the Commander package, as I'm guessing there'll be a lot less of those than Lieutenants (and £900 for a Captain's ticket is just TOO much of a jump up).

Hopefully his autograph won't be as much as his photoshoot. £55 seems reasonable for a photoshoot, not as much so for an autograph, but he's probably about the only person I would pay that much money to, as he's an absolute legend.

As I said it is usually the same price as the photoshoot so he will probably be £55 per autograph as well. It's rare that the 2 prices are different and on the occasions that they haven't been it's not been much of a difference and it's usually been more. Don't assume that his auto will be less as it's unlikely to be.

This is the convention/signing event game I'm afraid - the top guests command top fees which have to be reflected in the prices charged.
