It was quiet early on but i thought it picked up well after 11. One of the most enjoyable shows i've been to, really enjoyed it. I hope sm carry on with this event( there was a sign that said it will be back next year. A few more bigger guests and i think it could become a big event. Event city is a great venue too.

Hopefully showmasters persist with this show and keep bringing it back every year so it builds up a reputation and more people will come as will guests.

It broke my heart when they stopped the Manchester con last time. I truly hope they keep it coming. Manchester deserves a convention.

I had a really good day yesterday Showmasters Thank you. I hope you make Manchester a full time event on your calendar.

All the guests I met John Simpkin, Ron Donachie, Simon J Williamson, Camille Corduri, Peter Ross and Kenny Baker were all great.

The venue was nice and there was plenty of room to get around.

Keep up the good work.

Had a great time. I know a few people have mentioned it was quiet, but I thought it got a fair bit busier after 11am, and it's a brand new event - with some more guests and more local advertising this has potential to be a massive event. We loved it

Agreed was a tad quiet but was enjoyable and with more guests it will only get better!

Just want to add my thanks to coming back to Manchester, I had a fab day yesterday ( knew it was going to be a challenge but it actually went great) Thanks to all the guests, especially David Hewlett. Think us locals need to advertise a lot for next year cos it is great having an event on my doorstep.

Well the event finally arrive and I went along to finally meet Samuel Anderson & Camille Coduri and they were great, well up for it plus great to see some of the regulars.

Bonnie Langford was having a quiet wonder around before starting her day and Louise Jameson and Katy Manning were up for a blether which was great.

Compared to the Newcastle event up north last year which was overcrowded this event seemed a lot quieter in a bigger arena which ironically it looked smaller on the outside and bigger on the inside. It still felt like an Ice Rink but far more space than normal.

The event was great and ran like clockwork. Though a big Who fan I've realised in time that I'm not necessarily a Sci-Fi fan so it's very impressive seeing all the other groups.

Well done to everyone involved.

I only went on Saturday but really enjoyed it! Just want to say a massive thanks to Showmasters for bringing along Sea Shepherd as they're an organisation very close to my heart :) And the amazing guys on the stall for sorting out an online order I'd bought the night before! I was so surprised to see them there but to find out that Showmasters support them brought a huge smile to my face.

Already looking forward to the next one! Really happy to see Showmasters back in Manchester as I was gutted when Collectormania GMex ended!

I had a great time on the Saturday. As has been mentioned it was a bit quiet first thing but I was actually relieved as I was able to get the key autographs I wanted fairly quickly. The venue was very spacious and comfortable which was great when browsing the stalls to pick up a few nice items. With some more big name guests I see no reason why this could not be a massive event but in order to bring in very big numbers you do need the guests to pull it off.

Thank you to everyone that supported us this weekend and made the event amazing ,as you all know know its a big venue and over the next few years we are going to fill it to the brim , its quite exciting for us as we now have a big venue in the north of England and we can now build a smilier event to London Film and Comic Con so watch this space as we start to grow this show into a monster of an event :clap:

so thank you all for helping us with this new event and see you next year :-)

So glad to hear this as, and i'm not just saying this because i'm local, but this was a great show, really really enjoyed it. Event city is a brilliant venue, the air-con alone makes for such a relaxed event as its not too smelly and hot, it really blows away Olympia and Earl's court, a huge venue too. It was quiet for early birds but it filled up very well after 11 and with more bigger guest( though tbf Englund and Henriksen are all i could ask for) then early birds will sell more. I can easily see MFCC becoming the biggest con outside London and with the equally huge Trafford centre next door its very easy to make the day and night of it.

I went on the Saturday (30th May) and had a fantastic time. all the guests I met were really lovely especially Maya Stojan (agents of shield)an incredibly beautiful woman and is also such a lovely wonderful person too, lance henriksen was brilliant, such a classy guy both at the talk he did and when I met him at his signing table, he signed my alien anthology bluray boxset "Bishop". Robert Englund was such a fantastic guest, very very funny and entertaining with everyone including kids when their parents were saying he used to scare them as a kid.

Event City is a great venue too. such a huge place which mean there was plenty of room to move around etc and didn't feel cramped at all.

I definitely think it has the potential to be as big as London Film & Comic Con which is a good thing for me as I only live about 90 minutes away from event city

I will definitely be back next year
