mark taz and skye
What are the rules and policies of me using a digital camera at the event?
Queen_Sindel
No photos = put camera away No Flash photography = turn off Flash no posed photos = okay, to take a photo of the guest, but not with the guest
mark taz and skye
Are these only apply if there are signs up by the guest saying this?
Queen_Sindel
Yes. If you want to take Pictures of cosplayers for example it is always a good idea to ask first, but this is what applies for the autograph lines.
mark taz and skye
So let me get this straight, I'm walking around the area where the guests are located, I don't see any signs saying I can't take a photo, is it then alright for me to get my camera out and take a photo? Queen_Sindel
For the General area you may be asked to move if you are blocking a walkway, or if a guest with the "no photos" sign is Close by. Sorry, but we had some People trying to be sneaky. Generally as Long as there are no signs photos are okay though, yes.
mark taz and skye
Will there be specific no camera signs allocated to each guest? Or on the whole? And I apologise for all the questions, I just want the day to go smooth Edited July 29, 2016 by mark taz and skye
Queen_Sindel
There should be specific signs per guest. I am just trying to explain some things that may happen.

gazznewbie
Having been to many events over the years it seems if your in the queue paying for an autograph your not allowed to take pics. But if your not paying for an auto you can walk up quite close to the barriers and take as many as you like. That really annoys me personally, think there should be 6ft high barriers around the edges of guests signing areas to stop this. No photos should be no photos for everyone not just the ones paying, Who in my opinion have more right to take one anyway.
Queen_Sindel
Crew tries to stop those people too, but unfortunately they can't have their eyes everywhere. People should respect the signs, but unfortunately we get more and more even encouraging others to break the rules.
mark taz and skye
Don't get me wrong,I still have every intention of paying for some of the photo shoots, I'm just wanting a few photos where it's okay to take them for personal use
MULENSTEINCOLLECTOR
I don't think I've ever come across the no photos just no posed photos is it ok to film signings as long as its stated otherwise because then their would be no flash and would possibly solve the headache issue plus using pause and screen shot you can make your own pictures of the signing at your leasure
