  1. Expecting Patrick Stewart to be very busy on Saturday and dont really fancy waiting around all day to get in, if at all. If I come down Friday, will they be handing out tickets for the the PS Q late Friday?? or do I have to get there really early Saturday. How does it usually work for people they expect to be busy? Thanks
  2. UB40 or Ali Campbell be nice to have some pop celebs too. Can we have UB40 or Ali Campbell, please. CJ
  3. Maybe, I take on board what you all say but then I think they should reduce the price. I wouldnt have minded too much if I paid £10. I just want to eliminate the greed cost out of it. if you get my meaning. He charged £20 per signature. He got though 1000 tickets at least at the minimum. so.. £20 x 1000 = £20,000 and lots of people were getting 2 sigs, so you can add an extra £5k on that. £25,000 how much would he charge? ummmm. no, if they dropped the cost, i think we all would have been happy with a very quick HELLO, GOODBYE. :)
  4. Think most people would rather have him for 1 day than not at all. There is no guarantee he can make another day. Might be worth a poll on that one. But I do hear you. My point of view is that if you cant get a decient hello then you might as well buy a presigned 10x8.
  5. Woohoo, I have my say now. hehe. Got there fairly early, about 09:30ish, joined the long queue. Then a woman parading up and down the queue saying "you get your ticket but there no guarantee that you will get to meet him/them", I thought here we go. Anyway, I got my ticket for John and Eve, late 900's for John and mid 600's for Eve. To cut a long story short I did get to meet them both but like the rest of you the meet was very very brief. What I tend to do now is always get a picture of the guest signing the item that you have given them, this is because that I always used to get (from friends and other people) "oh, that’s not his/her signature, you put that on there". So I always make a habit of taking a photo of them signing (at the very minimum). Wasn’t until I paid my £15 for Eve that I saw the sign "no photos or videoing". I felt like getting my money back but it’s not the guests fault for this, so I went with it. I spoke to one of the members of staff standing near and asked if I could take a picture while she signed as my wife was going to get the item signed and I would just take the picture, no posing just a pic while she signed. I said that it wouldn’t even slow her down but he says "No!!" (Umm, jobs worth award there). She signed, I did briefly get a handshake but that’s it. She was literally signing like a trouper. After, I joined the queue for John and paid my £20, made it to the front where the member of staff was letting people take photos when he was signing. I told John where to sign and he signed it, he didn’t seem as rushed as Eve and even cracked a joke and had a giggle. I took my photo and shook his hand and told him that we would see him in Northampton at the HUB. I felt much better for that and felt that I wasn’t being ripped off. My wife did stick her neck out and asked for a photo but he smiled and said that he wasn’t allowed. Anyway, I got my picture signed but was a lil unhappy that I didn’t get the picture of Eve signing. So all in all it didn’t go too bad. Cliff
  6. Damn I missed him, forgot actually. I will catch him tomorrow.
  7. luckly i didnt meet her, but looking at the photo session photos she looked misrable and was stood so far away, i think i would have asked for my money back. Its standard practise that the guest puts there arm around u or somthing, and if she didnt want to stand close to the paying people, i think she shouldn't have done a photo shoot. She probably didnt want you to catch anything, hehe. I wouldnt be so nasty but I hate guests like that. Cliff
  8. Yes, we will say we dont watch Big Brother? who's he. haha
  9. This is something that a lot of you must have thought everytime you visit CM. Why dont they turn the whole show 90 degrees. Why? well doing this would. a ) make it more interesting. Everytime you go there, do you not notice that each stand is usually where it was last time. Things needs to move about as to make it more interesting. b ) make it easier for the guests when the sun comes out. The high windows to the left and right usually blind the guest so you end up getting a squint picture taken. c ) you are not all scrunched up to the tree/plant beds either side when queueing for a guest and people can still walk up and down. d ) just make more sence. You comments?
  10. Quit it now. McD's is bad for you. u could of brought a dvd, there was a chap selling some good dvd's for £3. I know, i brought some. Cliff
  11. Hi. A big thank you to Tony Amadola (Master Bra'tac SG1) for the nice chat that we had and the signature. Also, was very nice to meet Brent Spiner and Levar Burton but was a bit busy and had to wait most of the day to see them. Also was a little bit dissapointed of the price it cost for their signatures. I paid out £80 for 2 signatures of them both. I think the show should do a special ticket for £100 where you can get upto x amount of signatures free. That would be better. The organisation was better as you had more room when you got the front of the queue to put your personal belongings down and then meet the stars (the table to the side) and you want so ruched by the staff as everybody was pretty quick to get their signing. Q's outside was tailed outside for the 11 o'clock Q but the moved quickly within 10 mins. Food was damn expensive but isnt it always at these places. 70p for crisps, £2.80 for a standard sandwich, £1.50 for a fanta. I dont think this was Showmasters fault but was the venue shops. Again, well done to the organisers and Tony Amadola is a really nice person, Cliff & Theresa
  12. Hiya Neo... Sorry to hear about that cold/flu bug you got but I can tell you, I dont think you are the only one coming away from the event with the damn lurgy. I attended Sat/Sun to the event and by Tuesday though to even now, I have had this awful cold even my wife caught it too. What ever was going around that place was a bad strain. The Event was cool but as far as Heath/Safefy goes, well. I think it was all to squashed and you had to climb over everyone. It is understandable that everyone has shared germs. Hope you feel better soon. Cliff
  13. Can we add Richard Dean Anderson to this list.... Cliff
