What an awesome little day...

If I'm honest, I wanted it to be a littler busier BUT, I still had an awesome time. I'm normally a hardcore early bird goer but after the last two winter cons I've been to, I knew the deal. Got my standard entry ticket and rocked up at 12:30 able to walk straight in.

Only had one shoot for the day which wasn't until 4:15 so hd plenty of time to look at the stalls and film/photo the cosplayers. There was even space to sit down and eat. WINNING.

As a makeup artist/dressy up person, I LOVED the fact that Escapade fancy dress were there (I know they've been before but never had the time to see them lol) got some new aqua colours which was nice and their promotional clowns were super scary. I also unintentionally kept stalking a guy in a red bat suit (think he was part of Escapades) who looked a lot like Pedro Pascal. Hopefully I didn't creep him out.

I met Mr Hafþór Júlíus Björnsson who was an absolute joy and even had time to go to the little GOT talk and the Cosplay Masquerade which I NEVER have time for.

So yeah, really, really enjoyed the day and can't wait for the summer one. Bring on the chaos.

Oh - and a shout out to the older guy with the glasses who mans the photo ops, keep meaning to get his name... YOU'RE AWESOME. Always goes out of his way to make people smile no matter what the situation. You're a star :)

Cheers Axe, always nice to get a compliment, though I think I'm gonna have to find some new jokes for MK next month. The name's Stuart by the way...

Wicked awesome weekend - though slightly undone by the guests leaving early at 16:20 after their last shoots... Had Ian Ruck and went right after his shoot to get the photo shoot signed only to be told be had gone already... Shame, but maybe understandable with it being so quiet.

Great fun and some standout guests too - Ian Lavender, what a legend... had everyone in stitches during his photoshoot.

Great day.

What time did Alan Ruck leave ? I did have a look for him late afternoon after the Sunday Doctor Who Talk, but he seemed to have disappeared. I wasn't too disappointed as had met him before years ago at Collectormania, so got an auto from Nicola Bryant instead, but was surprised to see he seemed to have disappeared.

Hey there

Just wanted to thank the person(s) who found our autographs and took them to the lost and found counter. We were gutted when we realised that they were all gone. THANK YOU SO MUCH, also to the nice ladies at the counter.

And a shout out to the Walking Dead cosplayers who we met on Sunday around noon. You guys made our day and sorry we had to run to catch our flight back.

It was an all around pleasant event if maybe a little too quiet for our taste. Thanks also to SM, of course.

Regards and cu all next summer!

Have to say I had a great weekend. Was lovely to meet so many people off the forum and Twitter etc, catch up with old friends and new.

YALC, Cosplay, Comics.. everything was done really well, so congratulations to everyone involved.

All the guests I talked to were really friendly too.

I had early birds for both days. It was quiet but that made it so much more relaxed. Had a great time meeting the guests I wanted and others that I decided to get on the day. It was a relaxed stress free weekend for me. It is difficult for SM to get the balance between the busy chaos and the quiet shows like this weekend and sometimes the talks were less than half full but the guests held their own thanks to the compare (Sorry don't know your name) Thanks for a great weekend.

For the first time ever we couldn't make the event until 3pm on Sunday (usually early bird / crack of dawn) - very nervous as wasn't sure if some of the guests would have left already. But hey, managed to see Jerome / Ryro / C Thomas / Ralph / Trucco / Lance - everyone that we wanted to see - WOO HOO! Oh and to the young lady that was looking after Lance - big thanks for having a "blue sharpie" - Catherine had signed hers in blue so great for you to offer that up and keep the continuity!

I think he left around 4.30/5 ? I went to see a friend and he was leaving as I went there.

I went straight to his desk at 16:10 after his photoshoot to be told the staff clearing his desk of photos and was told he had already left to catch his plane, I'm gonna be seriously miffed if that wasn't true...

I really enjoyed Sunday as I was able to get all the autographs and photos I wanted without the pressure experienced in July and was even able to attend a few talks. Even though summer 2015 will be a lot busier it still won’t come fast enough. Many thanks to everybody made this event possible.

you're right. It was quiet but thankfully it was so much more relaxed that I had enough time to talk with the guests which makes more interesting.

He did indeed leave straight after his photo shoot, he wanted to leave earlier for his flight but stuck with it due to his photo shoot and not wanting to let people down.
