Chris.eason84
Aside from footballers that I'm sure you're not bothered about, the most famous person I've met is Tony Christie, he was nice and polite, he used to own my wifes nans apartment and was back visiting Sheffield so wanted to visit his old home.I'm sure most can beat this...... KingRichard76
Harrison Ford. Was very friendly but quiet- he's not a very talkative person but who cares he's Harrison Ford he can be how the heck he wants to be :) Mr. Spielberg. Awesomely cool. Very friendly, nice and chatty. Kermit the Frog. He remembered me from when we'd met before. The most friendliest amphibian anyone would want to meet.

mrsmikaelson
Right now I'd say Benedict Cumberbatch and he was amazing, sweet, chatty, friendly and ridiculously polite, a true star!!
KingRichard76
I was kinda doing my best to keep my enthusiasm to a minimum when meeting Harrison as you can hear in the vid. Meeting him- heck was like meeting Jesus for goodness sake. Shaking my hand? PRICELESS! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iiBITTUTwlU Spielberg? This video says it all. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dhRGVO8XRsc
Moderators etmuse Posted May 1, 2014 Moderators Share Posted May 1, 2014 I reckon most famous in terms of 'people outside of the geek world have heard of them' that I've met is probably a toss up between Johnny Depp and Brad Pitt. Or maybe Prince William.
Che-Snake
For me it's probably Ozzy Osbourne. 'No posed pictures' they said. Pretty sure everyone there got a picture... Ta, Che-Snake :)
KingRichard76
"YAAAAAAAAAAY" :) Starstruck would be an EXTREME understatement.
Wizzy5395
I have to admit that most of the 'names' I have met have been due to attending Sci-Fi conventions. In recent months it would have to be Louise Jameson, Leela in Doctor Who. She was fantastic and loved the phrase on the T-shirt I was wearing when I met her. Of course there is Teryl Rothery. A lovely lady beloved by a lot of fans.
snot182
technically The Hoff is the most famous person I've met as he's the record holder for most watched person on TV.. he's always really nice too Otherwise I would say Simon Cowell who is the opposite of what you see handing out abuse on TV and Miley Cyrus who is just a really sweet girl I'd say it is usually the not quite so famous people that have the attitude
sammyromie
I usually answer this question with Tom Cruise. He was extremely nice, a pleasure to meet.
Narlth
For me I think it would be Martin Freeman. He's really nice and was happy to have a photo with me as well as give me his autograph.

Geekchic
I used to work for a big record label, so it would have been one of our artists. I once played chess with Moby, he's probably most famous globally. I guess my biggest claim to fame, although I don't remember it, was back in 1979. I was only 9 months old and my Mum & Dad went to Midnight Mass on Christmas eve at Westminster Cathedral. There was a guy sitting in front of her wearing a long fur coat. I started to make baby noises and he turned around, said I was a cute baby and asked if he could hold me. My mother passed me over to him but was most embarrassed when after a couple of minutes I threw up milk on him. It was the late, great Freddie Mercury. I also once chatted up Kiera Knightly at a back stage Lily Allen gig but I didn't know it was her. She was very nice and we had a really good chat until Ms Allen pulled her away and said "Why are you talking to him, he's nobody". Never drink cocktails out of pint glasses people!
bunny-summers
This is a weird question because some people don't consider certain people as famous as others based on their own fandoms. Probably Charlize Theron, Ridley Scott or Michael Fassbender for me.

I'm very jealous sir, how did you meet him? I'm jealous of you being held by Freddie Mercury :) Kermit? That would have been at the HMV "The Muppets" signing in 2012, there was a photographer that took pics of us all with Kermit and Pepe and afterwards you were given a hand written card signed by the great Amphibian himself. I'd written something in regards to the late Jim Henson the night before and read it out to both Kermit and Pepe when I went up there- it just felt right to, the fact the whole setup was completely unscripted and that for an hour or so they both completely adlibbed was just incredible. To many this probably would sound- strange, but to just go up to Kermit and him just, well being Kermit and looking at you and all? It sure beat meeting Harrison AND Mr. Spielberg (but then again I'm a huge Muppet- Fan) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s5sHUy47g_8

I'd love to meet Will Patton but some wouldn't know who he is but it would mean something to me.

I'm related to Warren (Alf Garnett) Mitchell, in fact we sat next to each other at my Great Uncles levoya (Jewish Funeral) *He was a scriptwriter for a number of well known sitcoms in the 70's.
