rodrigo1991 Posted April 6, 2008 Share Posted April 6, 2008 (edited) Yo everyone, i'm back. i had a great time as i'm sure several others did. first of all i'll do a quick summary. The Hotel - I stayed at the park inn which was very good. not much to say on that really, but it was a good hotel. i reccomend it for anyone going to future events. Opening Ceromony - not much to say on the subject here either, except we got dharma beer!!! me and my uncle (see photo's) had our own dharma supplies (again, see photos). we brought them down to the first party, some people may have seen them. thanks for the beer SM!!! Dr & Nurses/Castaway Party - Very fun party... was there untill about half 12 and was one of the last few there. i cant remember everyone, but the was me, Justin (dont know if he's on the forum), and a couple of others (you know who you are. tell me and i'll add your name). oh yeah, i was dressed as a polar bear!! Some people may have seen me (most prob), and had a photo taken with me. it was lots of fun being dressed up although very VERY hot!! The talks - the talks were great fun. loads of funny stories and lots of information about the guests not sure what else to put here... Dealers room - those who went to eclipse will know what the dealers room was like. quite small, but good stalls. i brought a LOST clock, a couple of posters and a heroes t-shirt (i know i know, but i need it for a meet up next week). i also brought a book from Will (thanks dude ). i got all the autographs in that originally before getting extra (again, see photos). Photo Shoots - These were well orginized and extremely well done. i'm extremely pleased with all of mine, so thanks for that Beach Party - Beach party was great aswell. i was dressed as a hawaiian polar bear for a while (again, see pics). it got too hot after a while so i took it off. great idea to have the banananananas and coconuts, saved me buying food Autographs sessions - these were well done aswell. well orginized and kept under control. again... not much to put, but you can see some of mine further down. Auction - The auction was lots of fun. lots of great things to bid on though. lots of autographs (i think... 3 Maggie Grace, 3 Ian Somerhalder, 3 Jorge Garcia and a william mapother. also a poster with a few autos), a few heroes t-shirts, 3 lockdown t-shirts, a meal for 2 with the guests and the item which went for the highest was Andrew Divoff's specially made 'Patchy' Dharma T-Shirt. i bidded on the last 2 items. i was the first to bid on the Meal (£50) and i almost won, but a couple bid 75 at the last moment and i couldnt go any higher so i left it. Congratulations to the couple that one it. and now the item i wanted was Andrews T-Shirt. It was a specially made 'Patchy' Dharma T-shirt, which he signed and had bin wearing all day. i only managed to bid up to 90, but it went for 170 after a long battle. Congratulations to the dude that brought it. i was talking to him over the weekend but never got his name... but congrats again. EDIT: Group Encounters (cant believe i forgot this) - This was a really great addition to the weekend. i had mine with Andrew Divoff and i had a great time. he talked about how he got into acting, what he did before acting etc... He also brought in a the ring he made for the film Wishmaster which really good. it was really well made and he had spent several hundred hours on it. i think thats it for the summary, now for some photo's... Theres a couple more here --> Lockdown Album<-- and more to come (they'll be at that link) Our Dharma Supplies The book i brought from Will (thanks again) Me, before the first party Me, Sam and Nik Me and Andrew Me and Adetokumboh Me and Francois Me and Frederic My first group shot. I really suprised the guests here, and Frederic is saying 'He's so furry', a line from entorage (cant spell it) My second group shot which i just had to get signed by the guests and now for the thanks. there are so many so if i miss you, i'm sorry. tell me and i'll add you. I'll start with the people i met and had alot of fun with... steve and murry, Jedi Chef Steve, another steve, justin, bella, and everyone else. oh ye, i almost forgot. Nik and Sam!!! great times over the weekend (*irish accent* Peter!!!) Shaun (my uncle). for bringing me down and paying for my ticket. thanks dude!!!! The Hotel staff. Great food and service, thanks Will, for my brilliant book !!! The Photographer, for doing such great photos... The crew. the only names i can think of are TT and Jola. but thanks to everyone who was there who made the event run as brilliantly as it did!!! The guests. It was brilliant meeting all for of you. Andrew, Francois, Frederic and Adetokumboh. Thanks for coming guys and thanks for not running off when a polar bear approached you and last, but certainly not least Mark and Jason. Thanks for running this event. this was my first con and i'm glad it was with you guys. i had alot of fun and everything ran brilliantly, especially after all the ups and downs we had. Did you have a good trip back? We left this morning by train, in the period of 6 hours I managed to sit next to a priest, a homeless man, and an Indian trainspotter with body-oder. I kid you not!!
