Margot Kidder

Apologies if this is somewhere else on the forum, I looked but couldn't see anything ...

Margot Kidder - what a sweet lady and so happy to be there for her fans, advising you on you photo choices, making sure you get a great photo with her, taking her own money ... yeah .. taking her own money.

I have to ask because I am simply that nosey ... how come she was workin' it all alone? Not that I am complaining, she was doing a stand up job, but I was suprised to see a guest left all alone.

I was so pleased she had a steady queue for two whole days cos otherwise I would have worried she was lonely. I was pleased to see her chatting to the crew member helping the guest to her left ( can't remember who it was)

She was real value for money but it was kinda wierd that she was sorting out her change under the table on a chair ( for safety she said). Bless her.

I can whole heartedly recommend treating yourself to her autograph if you see her next time and you haven't already done so, she is so endearing in an orange anorak wearing kinda way!

Im guessing she probably didnt want an assistant and felt comfortable without one.

Theres another guest, Clair Kramer I think (been a while now since I met the person in question), who was quite happy to do everything herself and didnt want an assistant with her.

Apparently she invited herself along as she was going to be in the country. I'm wishing I had met her now!

I did wonder if she had called Jason and asked!! heh heh .. that rocks! Guests ASKING to attend!

Honestly, get her auto next time, she is well worth the money and is such a lovely lady.

Margo rocks ! Such a lovely person with time for fans etc. Got a couple of Superman last time (poster and DVD) so this time it was an Amityville poster (original Belgian quad) and she had no poblem adding "In God's Name Get Out" with a personalisation. That franchise scared the sh12 out of me as a kid.

I have to add how fantastic and friendly Margot Kidder was!!

She was kind enough to pose with me whilst my gf took a photo - after the photo she grabbed me again and made me do a flying Superman pose with her for another pic - how amazing was that! It was just one of the highlights of one of the best weekends i've ever had. Thanks Margot. I've included the pic here:

I posted this elsewhere, easier than posting a link to search for it...

Turns out she invited herself as she was coming over to see her niece so that is why she didnt have any helper, she wanted to earn some extra money so she could spend some decent time with her family. Which i thought was quite nice i then gave her £20 to which she asked if i had the right money, i said i didnt but she could keep the 5 as i thought she was going to be 20 anyway. she said that she couldnt do that and made sure she gave me my change before posing for a photo. Really lovely lady.

gives you a good idea of how great she was and why she was flying solo

Gah! Awesome pic!

I had intended on getting her and totally forgot, I kept walking past her with my guest and mentally reminding myself to go meet her when I got a chance and I didn't :D

I hope she comes back.

I was sat to the left of her, looking after Mike Christopher, on the Saturday, and we made sure she didn't get bored and had everything she needed. She was such a lovely lady - really down to earth and friendly!!

As someone has already mentioned, she really did ask if she could come along; and money-aside, she was genuinely pleased to see/meet her fans!!

What a top guest!!
