I have to say it was good to have an event on our door step.It been long overdue for the North East.

The guests were nice and friendly and a joy to meet .I was quite novel and strange to be able to drop pack home to change.Took a while to get into the swing of it as we had no travelling or hotels. So hopefully we have another one next year.

It was small which was nice but I hope for it to get bigger year on year.

What did other people think of the event?

i agree with gosh, its about time the north east had an event, especially with newcastle airport. yes it was a small event but with the support of the local people will make this bigger and better for next year (hopefully)

my only complaint was that i had asked which day peter davison was signing and was assured it was sunday. i was lucky i was there both days and met him on sat, altho there were a few unhappy people who attended only on sunday to find that he wasnt there. however i did manage to meet a few other peeps from on here and that was a good.

the guests were lovely esp jeremy bulloch-i took 2 newbies with me for a sat and they really enjoyed it

I know at least one person who didn't go as they weren't sure which day Peter wass going.

I thought the idea of the Who Wars was to take smaller events round the country - so don't assume the next one will be in Newcastle. Or panic if it isn't.

i never make assumptions like that-but it was nice to go somewhere i dont have to spend a fortune to go to or take hours to get there. but newcastle is a big city so its nice when things come closer to the "grim north" than the midlands-even travelling to glasgow costs less and its less travel time. i know wasnt the only one who appreciated not having to fork out a fortune even before the event

I only really decided to go to this last Fri. I attended for one day (Sunday) for a few hours and really enjoyed it. It was fantastic to have it in the centre of town, I took my mum and younger brother along and they loved it. I got Paul's autograph (he was the one I really wanted to meet again). I got there too late for a photo with him though (where were the photo sessions held btw?). It was great to pop for lunch and then walk back for the interview sessions.

Likewise, hope something else is held like this in Newcastle in the future.

I agree, it was novel for me to be able to wander along on the day without having to treat it as some big logistical exercise. newcastle centre is an excellent city to have a convention in, as you are not just stuck at the hotel when the main events are finished.

More please Derek & Jason!
