Is anyone watching this?

I never got into the us show, I bought the series 1 box set ages ago but got bored, there was far too much order from my memory.

I randomly watched 2 episodes online of the uk show the other night as im a big jamie bamber fan and love freema. I really enjoyed them, so will be gettting the box sets. though even with the uk one there seems far more order than law with is worrying a little, but gonna start watching this proper now

anyone like this show? also whats up with the seies? series 1 seemes to of been split into 4 series by itv? whats up with that?

also is anyone watching that loved the us version? i hear allt he eps are based on the us eps scene for scene almost?

Its a brilliant series especially for fans of Freema

When series 1 was filmed, there were 13 episodes but ITV decided to split it into 2 series , they then did the same for series 3 and 4.

26 episodes in all, 7 per some series and 6 for others. Series 1 and 2 are out to buy on dvd, series 3 is out later next month with series 4 appearing on ITV sometime over the next three months.

Hope this helps.

I love the US Law & Order series and have watched the UK version. The UK stories are all refilmed from US episodes, and adapted for the UK differences, sometimes I've watched the UK ones and remembered the story line.

The UK ones are good.

Going by the way the UK has released them, there are four series of Law & Order UK in this country.

However, after series one finished it's initials 7 episodes, the remaining 6 episodes filmed as "series 2" in the UK were shown as the remainder of series 1 in Canada and then North America as a whole.

This was repeated with Series 3 and 4, which are actually series 2 in Canada and all of North America.

This country rarely goes beyond 13 episodes, so 26 episodes has been turned into 4 series. A shame really as some episodes from "series 2" link to "series 1", and the same goes for "series 3 and 4".

All current episodes are adaptions of the first 4 series of Law & Order in the U.S. It has been announced that future episodes of Law & Order UK after Aeries 4 will be newly written ones mixed with adapted ones.

Series 4 starts next week in the UK. It was advertised on ITV tonight.

This is more or less what I wrote earlier - apart from the Canada and abroad bit.

Season 3 will be out on dvd later this month.

I know. I simply added the Canada etc parts to the original facts so it made sense. I had originally just put the Canada and abroad stuff and it did not read well. I also added about the fact that they will be writing new material from "series 5" onwards. Not a case of copy and pasting your post, but rather adding facts.

I only came upon the foreign broadcasts after looking for episode titles that I had recorded. It showed the broadcast of further episodes in Canada.

It is nothing new as Law & Order: Special Victims Unit is broadcast the day before the USA broadcast.

I really wanted to enjoy this when it came out as I am a law student and want to be a solicitor, I thought it would be a brilliant insight into the British Justice system.

However, I saw episode one and never watched it again, as I just couldn't take it seriously as I spent the whole episode thinking "That's the guy from Coronation Street..."

Think I may have caught a later episode, and it had Mike from Hollyoaks in it, so I spent the whole of THAT epsiode thinking "He had an affair with his daughter's friend..."

Maybe it would have been better if they'd used unknowns...?

I'm really enjoying it! Procedural shows are so not my thing (the lab sections always make me cringe) but this really works for me. I'm sure lawyers cringe when watching it but thankfully I don't know much about what goes on inside a courtroom!
