  1. maybe it was a struggle to type in all those pesky little letters that make sentences legible
  2. What? You mean they didn't have a contract with the goody bags? Well, I would have liked to have gone, but I didn't have the money. Not too surprised at what people are saying. It was the first time SM's has done a party and it seems they found a few of the pitfalls! Hopefully they'll improve it next time. My experience with guests at a party... either you do it with limited attendees (maybe 200), and have the guests 'on duty'. Guests get escorted from group to group and takes a few minutes with each. Noboddy gets long, but everybody at least gets to say a few words. Or, you have the guests 'off-duty' like at this one. Then some decide they don't fancy coming on the night (jet lag is a killer, so have some sympathy...). Some turn up but find the crowds just too scary! The ones that remain either end up with everyone queuing to get a photo with them and no-one really gets to talk to them, or they get into real conversations, which means they spend ages talking to just a few people all night and most people don't get to say a word to them. I've had some great conversations with guests at the second type of party, but it's the luck of the draw. i think maybe more vips would have mingled if the room was brighter as their security members couldnt really see what was going on and so couldnt assess anything! also if people had cameras taken off them and strict instrucitons not to approach them for autographs etc or they will be asked to leave, it might have made it easier! i knwo most poepl brougth cameras to take pics of each other and not the vips, but i saw one person getting a pic with nicholas brendon which i thought was maybe slightly wrong as he was there to enjoy himself!! maybe if the vip room hadnt been downstairs too it might have helped, like maybe section roped off with security members there to stop non vips from going in. has there ever been an event where they mingled?
  3. dunno, i live here so dont need to stay in hotel!
  4. oh wasnt there this morning was only there this afternoon and it wasnt open queue that i could see!
  5. yeah true i dont think carrie would have been put into a s*** hotel but merely saying her being famous wouldnt negate her right to complain. if she wanted to go to london fair enough but its an hour 20 mins drive each way at best!!!
  6. well i was there most of sturday and i didnt see an open queue. i presume that most of the time he was there he was extremely busy, and during them times he wouldnt have had time to do a posed photograph, and so even when not that busy he didnt do posed photographs or we would have people complaining that he posed for some and not for others.
  7. i dont blame carrie fisher for complaining. if you are told you are going to a hotel and you get there and find its s*** with paint peeling rads falling off walls (not syaing hers was or anythignlike that) id complain. and so because im not famous i shoudlnt complain????
  8. im not defending the guests alone, im saying *anyone* who flies transatlantic can barely function, and for anyone to function as well as the guests did is great. and btw if you can trash the guests, i *can* defend them.
  9. oh i think it *does* have to do with jetlag. anyone who has traveled transatlantic will tell you how hard it is to grunt, let alone sit there and smile and sign autographs all day, for fans, and for people who obviously do not appreciate it.
  10. surely best guest is subjective? who i found to be fabulous others may not have found him/her to be so?
  11. id hardly consider nicholas brendon a c list buffy star havign been in the title credits for 7 season
  12. oh hell yeah, nicholas brendon looked so hot, short hair and everything!
  13. he was sat beside the buffy people, opposite next :)
  14. i think it owuld be rude to ask a guest for their autograph if they are signing inside for a fee.
