  • 2 weeks later...

I reckon I've seen at least 60 movies this year (Thank you Cineworld multipass!). I honestly can't be bothered listing them all though...

The Best: (in no particular order)

1. Wolf of Wall Street

2. Guardians of the Galaxy

3. The Raid 2

4. Edge of Tomorrow

5. Interstellar

6. Lego Movie

7. Gone Girl

8. X-Men : Days of Future Past

9. Captain America : Winter Soldier

10. Dawn of the Planet of the Apes

11. The Imitation Game

The Worst:

1. The Mockingjay (tweeny melodrama with no payoff)

2. The Hobbit : Battle of the Five Armies (major disappointment)

3. The Interview (a less than average comedy made worse by the hype)

4. Transformers : Age of Extinction (*comment removed by QS*).

5. Spider Man 2 (too soon and too reliant of CGI)

6. Godzilla (not enough Godzilla and Bryan Cranston was totally wasted)

7. TMNT (we waited over two decades for this?)

You might want to edit your number 4.. Not the place for that sort of text.

The auto-censor didn't pick it up so I'd say its OK. Besides, its an actual word that appears in the dictionary although is was a pretty juvenile thing to say and doesn't even make sense.

Best for me in no particular order:

Gone Girl (certainly the best film I saw 2014)

The Interview (Yes, I loved it. Miles better than their usual stuff)

Dawn of the Planet of the Apes (still prefer Rise though)

Captain America: The Winter Soldier (Good action)

The Equalizer (cheesey and cliched but still solid entertainment)

The worst:

1) Lucy (just stupid, what were they smoking?)

2) Robocop (stupid)

3) TMNT (was this live action or CG animation?)

4) Bad Neighbours (Really, who has ever understood what a 'fraternity' is besides Americans??)

5) Hercules (didn't even fight any creatures)

6) The Expendables 3 (less script, more old action stars only this time overshadow their screentime with new hot younger stars that no one asked for)

We can't feed any combination of words in the autocensor. Sometimes it's the context that makes a word problematic. If you go by "it wasn't picked up by the filter, it's okay" I guess the mods shouldn't have to kill off the pictures the p*rn spam bots post either. ;)

This is a family friendly forum. As Spacecadet already suggested, that comment wasn't quite appropriate here.
