Signed items

I know it's really early to ask this seeing as tickets aren't available yet but I thought I'd ask this early so those who get tickets can prepare. Whilst we obviouly don't need an answer urgently it would be great to get a reply in good time.

As this is an official convention what items will people be able to bring to be signed. Will it only be items that are official BBC products and 8x10 stills?

When I have been to official cons in the past nothing unofficial could be signed.

On the autographs page it says this.

"Autographs will not include an item to be signed on, you can either purchase an official Sherlock photo at the event, or bring an item from your own collection to be signed."

Kinda confusing as in the gold package wording it says.

"A selection of 10x8 prints will be available to choose from should you wish to use them"

Reading that makes it sound like they're free just like at other SM events.

Again the Mods can hopefully comment on this as the FAQ does say

How much are the 8x10 pictures?
Licensed SHERLOCKED photos will be available to be purchased at the show from £3 each

It might just be another case of wording carried over from other events being missed in the correction phase.

Surely the cost of an autograph should include a photo?? At all other events they're on the table, I can't see why this would be different? Are they saying then that you have to pay, say £20 for the autograph ticket, then another £3 for a photo to get signed?

This usually happens at the more official conventions. You don't have to buy the photo's though you can source your own or get a signature on another item you want to bring.

To be honest I'd rather pay for something decent than have something free that isn't very good. I remember when Louise Brealey did MK a while back all she had where screen grabs which didn't look great. I've actually been struggling to find decent 10x8s from the usual places so to know there will be something decent at the show is quite reassuring.

Personally I think I've got a problem bringing my own items... 1 item of baggage weighing up to 23 kg :) Will bring some items and hope to have maybe one or two included in my gold package. If not - I'll buy those autos.

That's checked in luggage, right? Are you not allowed hand luggage? As long as the hand luggage is not too obviously bulky they usually don't weigh that one...:whistling:
