Hi !

Will travel from Sweden to Olympia alone for the first time. And I wonder if anyone have some suggestions for a easy transport to the Olympia from Heathrow ? Or is it only underground and then busses ? I´m afraid to get lost on the way there =) Or is it more easy to take a cab you think ?

I'm also flying to Heathrow (from Germany). From there I'll take the Heathrow express to Paddington station and from there maybe a cab or the underground. When do you arrive? Maybe we can travel together and share the costs?

Depending on how much walking you are happy with, it is only ~1 mile from Earl's Court tube station to the venue (and you can get to Earl's Court directly on the Picadilly line from Heathrow)

Here's the Transport for London journey planner website - https://www.tfl.gov.uk/plan-a-journey/

ETA: Disregard the following as only applies for weekends (see further discussion below for clarity).

Personally speaking I'd just go for the Piccadilly line (that's dark blue and the only one that serves Heathrow on the London Underground (discounting Heathrow Express) through to Earls Court. You then need to change on to the District Line (green line) which will involve a flight of stairs at Heathrow and go one stop to Olympia and then the venue is straight outside the station.

Knitty Fred - the branch of the district line that goes between Earl's Court and Olympia usually only operates on weekends, which is why I suggested just walking that 1 mile (as otherwise it starts involving either buses or multiple changes - easiest of which is probably district to West Brompton then Overground to Olympia).

From Earls Court station there is another tube to olympia, it's only one stop and drops you right next to the venue.

That's the line mentioned above - only operates on weekends. Won't work on a Friday.

I'm travelling from Norway, but I haven't booked a hotel room yet. What would be the best hotel to stay at if I'm coming from Heathrow? I'm thinking about a hotel that is not too expensive and that is easy to get to Olympia from.

What would people recommend for me to do to get to the venue from Shepherd's Bush on the Sunday? I've seen there is a southern train at around 7.47am to Kensington Olympia. Any ideas how much a taxi would cost?

Depends on what time you want to be there ? Looking at TFL web site looks like if you want to get there before the train gets in its going to be a Bus and if you time it right its going to be just one bus and a couple of short walks

I'd be there in time for the 7.47 train as I'm looking to get to the venue for 8ish. As I'm going to be with friends though we may share a taxi if it's not too expensive. We're undecided at the moment. Depends on the taxi price.

We are coming from Heathrow as we are staying over night the Sat night at the Premier inn Terminal 5 and only doing the Sunday. The best bet is to get the Piccadilly line and get off at Barons court and its a short walk to Olympia. Don't use the Heathrow express. It will cost a lot for something that won't be of any help.
