I need to start by saying the new venue was so much better than oddessy, more space to do more if event grows. robert englund, michael biehn, Sylvester McCoy and Ken kirzinger where probably the busiest out of all the guests at the event. And they where all really nice to talk too. Really enjoyed the event can't wait to next one. I can't say how much I enjoyed event but There only 3 things that effected the event and these are my opinion and not everyone will agree.

1) if holding the event twice next year I feel the date needs looked at. That weekend is one of the biggest sporting events in UK and in European Road racing so it effected how busy sat was I feel. Didn't feel as busy as previous events.

2) location of the photo area it was bit hectic and squeezed up when bigger guests where taking place.

And final one was due to number of guests only 16 versus 29 last year the talks seemed very spread out. Previous years there where two different talks taking place at same time and I couldn't decide which one to go to

Apart from those small things awesome job showmasters

Thought the event was a lot better than I thought it'd be. The only criticism is similar to one of leoric's in that the queuing for the photoshoots could have been handled a bit better (when I was there on the Saturday). Had photoshoots for Sylvester McCoy, Shophie Aldred and Robert Englund, and the end of Sophie Aldred's queue was halfway down the queue when we came out of Sylvester's photoshoot as Robert's was tagged onto the end of it due to all 3 being so close together.

Other than that, I really enjoyed the event.

And thinking of the guest numbers leoric has mention about, we are getting 2 events this year, so across the 2, there'd probably be closer to 35, maybe 40 guests by the time September's con comes along. ^_^

And once more I am the bad guy. Which is actually kind of funny since less than 48 hours ago someone jokingly told me I was "always the good cop."

Please guys: We made it clear a number of times what posts we can allow on here. It is Showmasters' forum, so they have the last say what they want on here. You can repeatedly tell me you're "just posting your opinion" and "you are allowed to do that." But if you're over the line that was set you are over the line, and like all mods I am forced to edit or remove your post. If you keep cursing at me while "stating your opinion" I can guarantee you that this does not make me reconsider the rules.

I really do not want to close any review threads. But if those posts - you know who did them, I am not going to name names - continue I have no other choice. I've lost count how many times the mods nicely explained the rules and asked to listen. Yet a growing number of people seems to think they are exempt and can do whatever they want because of "freedom of speech."

We can only be nice so and so long until having to take other steps, like closing threads and removing posting rights. If you're at Tesco and start yelling bloody murder about their pricing policy or complain about ticket prices at your local cinema would you be surprised if security eventually steps in telling you to behave or leave the premises. It's the very same here.

I thoroughly enjoyed this event. It was probably the best one I'd been to so far. Was a little worried about the venue but it turned out to be so much better than the Odyssey. It was so spacious and left loads of room to get photos and just hang out. Agree with the criticism that the queuing systems for autographs and photoshoots got a little bit cosy at times, but that is a minor gripe.

Really looking forward to September.
