Registration Letters Are On Their Way!

I posted them a few minutes before the box was due to be emptied, and I couldn't see the postman. They are either being picked up in the morning or delivered in the morning, depends if Postie was early or not :)

They're a little early this time because I'm working LFCCW and Belfast.

Three people have emails that they need to reply to before theirs are sent, so please check your junk mail.

I received mine yesterday but it has my mother's name on it (I used her credit card). I'm sure I put my name in the comments box. I have emailed but I'm super worried now!

Don't be worried, that happens sometimes. If you don't hear back from Yvie before the show bring a note from your mom that she authorized you to use the card, but you're the actual attendee. You'll get in no problem.

Got my reg letter. One letter for two tickets. I got gold 29 and 30 and to be honest I expected 2 letters (what if I didn't turn up the same time as the other person I bought a ticket for etc?). Also can someone explain what the deal is with postage please. My letter arrived with a first class stamp on - how does first class postage cost £3 - it actually only cost 62p.

Yes I wondered about reg letters, I know before I have had to wait for my friend to arrive before we could check in, I don't think you can pick up your friends passes unless you have some sort of email to confirm either, if someone is going to be late may be worth getting one so you can just hand them the pass then if that's still right?

Not sure about postage are we paying an admin fee? they used to come recorded delivery? Perhaps Yvie can confirm.

1. The P&P fee covers: postage, credit card machine charges, ink, paper, envelopes, admin fees, overheads, and a bunch of other things. It's not just a stamp.

2. We have always sent one letter per order, unless different ticket types are requested in the same order. We don't enjoy killing trees for no good reason.

3. You can check in before your friends get there, we just cross out your name on the letter so we know it has been collected and then you can pass the letter to your friend to check in when they arrive. If you ever have trouble with this at the reg desk, ask them to give me a shout.

4. You only need an email from your friend if they are NOT attending, as this allows you to collect their autographs for them in their absence.

5. I've been doing ME registrations for over 4 years and during that time they've never been sent recorded delivery. SM show tickets are sent recorded because they can't be replaced, but ME reg letters are presented with ID in order to collect your pass, free 8x10s and other items. Reg packs would be very expensive to post and couldn't be replaced if they went missing in the mail, so we avoid the risk of your irreplaceable passes getting lost and we also avoid passing those unnecessary additional postage fees on to our attendees.

I hope I covered it all, but I'm sure you'll let me know if I missed something :)

Finally, to everyone who placed an order after the first lot of letters were sent and before 7pm this evening, your reg letters will be posted in the morning. Last orders will be processed on Wednesday when the online shop is closed, and those letters will be posted on Thursday :)
