Tony1975
Just wondering if people prefer their photos to have a personalised autograph? I used to when I first started collecting them but I think they look better without. Especially if there is more than one signature on the photo. CosmicAvatar
I do, yes. If the guest feels like putting something else on there, like a quote, that's just icing on the cake for me. I don't usually have group autos, though - just one guest signature per photo.
Wrong Name
I get a mixture of 8x10s and Posters. On the posters I like to have just the signatures as these go up on my wall, but I do like getting the 8x10s personalised as it makes it feel a bit more special. For a lot of guests that sign my posters I end up getting 8x10 as well anyway, so I get it both ways!
Moderators StuartG2198 Posted December 16, 2014 Moderators Share Posted December 16, 2014 I always get my 8x10s personalised if the guest is willing of course, and like CosmicAvatar said a quote or message is the icing on the cake!!
dogsoldierspoon
I try to have it personalised if possible. If I would do a group shot, I probably wouldn't (but I don't do group shots so). I love it when they put quotes on there as well.
Sassy1988
This is usually something I'm not that fussed about they either personalise or don't I know the sig is authentic as I was there in person watching them sign so I don't care either way, I suppose it is a nice touch to the sig tho However, if it was a sig on one of my posters I do prefer them to at least have their character name/s in brackets under their sig it helps if I have many sigs one the same poster so I remember who signed and stuff
D4vem88
I only have one personalised auto and that's from Summer Glau on my Serenity steelbook as she's the most forefront character on it. If there's a Firefly reunion then I'll get my Firefly steelbook signed with no personalisation.
vicky114
Personalised all the way if possible
only_jay
Usually dont get things personalised as its usually a poster with multiple autos on it and it looks better without due to space. Â However I do wish I got something personalised from both Summer and Lena last year :/ damn you Captain Hindsight!
Tony1975
Looks like I am in the minority! I agree though that it's great when they add quotes.
twinzz
we do both, actually. We use 10x8 that we generally have personalised but then when we use scripts or mounts for group siggies, we don't have them personalized. (we do usually have it personalised to "twinzz", we also sometimes have 1 8x10 personalized and not the other one) Â quotes, we usually say "fly free and what you wanna write" and then we generally get some pretty good stuff
Raylenth
Both for me - if it's a single signed 8x10, yes, if it's a multisigned item (poster, book or picture), no as it would look wierd having your name loads of times on it. I'm also fine if they want to write something, or have a laugh with their signing. David Hewlett (Stargate) signed one of my posters and drew an arrow pointing at Earth with 'McKay lives here'. A suprising number of Stargate guests jokingly asked me if they could sign over Richard Dean Anderson's head. Even though I said I didn't mind none of them actualy did. Â I think for the single signed items it's what you intend doing with them that counts as well. If you want them idividually framed or stored it doesn't matter if they all have your name on, but if you wanted them framed together in a montage it would look odd. Gamabunta
I just ask for their signature and the name of the character they play, since they are signing my blu-rays. :)
Wolfie138
i like things signed to me. if nothing else it kinda indicates to the guest that it's for me and not just to add value to something that will end up on ebay etc.
omegaredrocks
I do because if they know your name i find they may interact a bit more with you sometimes you can get a good conversation out of them
vicky114
This is true.especially if they have same name as you like me and tori Higginson.
Guest TantalizingTwilightFan
I always have autographs personalised. I've started getting DVDs and books signed rather than headshots too.
Ducky
Personalised all the way if possible. If they write a quote or something else, I am very happy. It makes the autograph more personal. On some of my autographs what the stars wrote came out of a little conversation
